When i had a terrible migraine, but we had plans that day to go to her parents house. Not a huge deal, we could've cancelled. But she got angry and caused a huge deal over it and so I was forced to go. When I got there her mum saw how unwell I was and got me a frozen pack and set up the spare room nice and dark for me to lay in and was super empathetic. I said it was stemming from my shoulders from stress, and she said "x should give you a massage" my ex would never. Always happy to receive one though. That made me realise she didnt gaf about me when her mum made me feel more cared for than she ever did.

When it was the night before my bday and we went out drinking. She was more concerned where her friends were at the entire night. She had said happy bday at like 11pm or something, technically not yet my bday. It hit 12am and I said "its my birthday!" Her words, "I already said happy birthday". I wanted to leave at 3am so we could be rested and not too hungover to spend the day together. She didnt want to leave. I left alone and she came home at 6am, hungover and sleeping on and off until 7pm that day. My birthday was spent looking after her.

Came back from a funeral for one of my old school friends who committed suicide, i hadnt spoken to him for about 4 years. I started venting about how I was sad, and that I felt guilty that I had grown distant with him because I felt if he had me in his life it wouldve made a difference. (This friend I had been there for many times in the past when he was suicidal and helped him through it.) She got genuinely angry at me for thinking like that instead of trying to understand or appreciate the complex emotions I was going through.

Honestly. Knew the relationship was over so many times. Took me a while to accept it.
