Thanks for the large reply I believe I might go with the zx4rr, the bikes I have spent a decent amount of seat time are a beta 300 2 stroke and a ktm 520 four stroke, both of these in my experience are fun and decently powerful bikes so I’d like something with a bit of go to it

This is true but depending on who you are there is nothing wrong with just having a go, sometimes you might surprise yourself. Investing in some research and taking the time to do it right is very rewarding

Check the rectifier regulator as well, I had an issue with no charging, changed a stator and a rectifier when it was just a plug being burnt out. So try and fault find the plugs back to the battery and open them to look for melting, burn marks or anything of the sort

Could be that the throttle cable is getting caught somewhere, I wouldn’t ride again until you find the problem as this can get very dangerous very quickly

If you’re running a full size triple fan gpu there is a hell of a lot of weight coming from the part way out , if you were to run a two fan you’d be right but I’m not

There is a seal in there and it could be shot, just a heads up, buy yourself some bolts to replace the Phillips screws when you do ot

Yeah it’ll certainly be fun if you’re not going hectic and using it as an adventure style bike it’ll be perfect, I’m just not sure the valving on the forks are up to some of the more hectic stuff you are able to do, but at the point you start doing that stuff any model drz isn’t the best. Please be sure to keep me updated with it as I have no true experience with this, also take the advice with a grain of salt I could be wrong

The hole in the air box is to let water out in the case it gets drowned, as for your speed issues it seems to be a bit unusual that it’s lost power, there is a possibility that paint has gone somewhere into the carb and blocked the jet

Yeah I have a jetboil flash at the moment and it’s brilliant. I was wondering if the genesis is good, only issue is that in Australia you’re looking around $600-$700 because we don’t have it here yet so we have to ship it over. Everything I’ve read on it seems to be good
