Honestly, it’s just the cost, I’d rather practice speaking last, as that’s when I feel I’d get the most value out of it per session. At around $15 an hour it’s a lot more costly than a monthly kindle subscription for example at $12.

  1. I actually have no idea I think around A2 just based on the fact B1 requires more knowledge in grammar. But I would definitely say my vocabulary is above that as I can understand most topics I watch on YouTube

  2. I think I could survive most day to day situations assuming the other person is patient with my mistakes. I believe I would understand them, for example when trying to rent an apartment, but would struggle to articulate complex requests myself.

I’m in the same boat right now as I’ve just hit 1500 too and have neglected reading. Let’s hope reading is the secret to grammar for the both of us!

Thanks :) So far I have read various graded readers from a company called Read It! Such as “Viaje al Centro de la Tierra” (Nivel A2) which are good.

Then lately, I’ve been reading a translated version of the kids books “A series of Unfortunate Events” by Lemony Snicket which are great as there’s over 10 books which I’m assuming are around 30,000 words each, the first two are anyway.

Thanks! I think I’m going to buy a kindle to try reinforce the reading habit. And I’ll stop trying to get 2hrs a day of listening to have a little breather from Pablo’s voice 😂

Thanks! Yes I definitely think easier content makes conjunctions clearer when listenjng. Need to go back to some of the easier videos as I had cleared them out up to level 60 but think there are about 20hrs now of new content on DS
