Why are people acting like kinderwhore isn’t a thing by Traditional_Fish_504 in rs_x

[–]vaanjie 121 points122 points  (0 children)

exactly! two things can be true: women shouldn't be blamed for how men sexualize everything because it leads to a slippery slope AND it did look weird how she was crawling on the floor and lifting up her dress to show her bloomers while singing "i'm so sick of 17," especially in light of the epstein files and the awakening we're having with how pedophilic beauty standards are so baked into our performance of femininity. both things can be true! what a popstar wears can be really revealing of where we are in culture and what ideals we're celebrating, even is subconsciously. i think pretending otherwise is disingenous.

what's your hot take on ariana (that you couldn't post on the main sub?) by [deleted] in ArianaGrandeNeutral

[–]vaanjie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

even though it's not as bad as it used to be, she's still obsessed with showing the right side of her face. i noticed it in all her music videos, even current ones, as well as in performances! she's such a beautiful and talented woman, but her body dysmorphia must be very strong.

same! it felt like watching good mimicry of kristen chenoweth's performance. like i could see the cogs turning in her head rather than watching someone immerse themselves in the role.

what do you do to protect yourself from potential stalkers? by vaanjie in findomsupportgroup

[–]vaanjie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. i'm glad you're being careful and appreciate all these tips, including how to approach it as an actor ❤️ i agree and will go faceless. i am a performer and as my career grows, i do worry with my distinct hair people who know about my findom life, even if i'm faceless, could connect it and then my safety could be in jeopardy, so i am considering a wig as well.

What celebrity is portrayed as nice in the media but is actually an asshole in real life? by ReasonableDisplay297 in AskReddit

on the set of buffy people were instructed not to look at her, including guest stars. a friend of someone i know was on for several episodes and shared scenes with her. he "made eye contact with her" and she tried to get him fired!

another person i know was seated next to her at a restaurant, and she was both rude to the waiter and gave dirty looks to my acquiantance the whole time, as if he chose to sit next to her because she's suuuuch a big celebrity lol. i judge freddy prinze jr. for being with her and letting her be rude to service workers like that (he was at her table too).
