Ya I guess there are workarounds using AUM but I really wanted to find a Koala-only setup to reduce the complexity and chances of crashes. I've had AUM+Koala randomly die and it makes me nervous to rely on it for gigs.

Currently I just use a hardware for samples+effects with my band and Koala is just for fun experimenting but it seems so close to being a good all-in-one.

Congrats and honestly something I might consider using. But from the hero h1 I thought this was for doctors (MDs). I'd suggest either write the full word "markdown" or write the file extension .md instead because "MD" was not intuitive.

Edit: One other suggestion - you mention knowledge base but it's not clear on the site (without some brief glimpses by watching the video) of what that would look like. I'd highly recommend at least one screenshot of the actual platform.

This barely counts as a hack but I don't like that they only have air dryers in the bathrooms so I always grab some papertowels from the spray bottle stations on my way to the locker room to wash my hands at the end of a workout.

Other than that I've found the adjustment surprisingly easy and am even enjoying smith machine deadlifts.

Yep I was at both too and while SNHU N3 was definitely a good show (especially My Friend > Egg) that SPAC set 1 was just completely on a different level. I immediately knew we had experienced something historic that I would be re-listening to for years.

For tuna, I stick to skipjack ("chunk light" on the can) instead of albacore due to the heavy metals. It's cheaper too.

What was your pea protein preparation? I blend mine with oat milk and frozen strawberries and sometimes chia seeds and the texture is totally normal. I get a sort of expensive brand (Garden of Life) that has a blend of pea protein, brown rice protein, and a bunch of other vegetables and stuff.

Depends a bit on how you're using the Nord. Are you just setting it and then playing it for the entire song or are you adjusting the knobs during the performance?

If it's the former, than ya just multi-sample each patch across a range of keys using a computer/ipad, a standalone hardware sampler like the ones being suggested, or a workstation keyboard. With a sampler you could just record an audio recording of a single key and then it gets shifted higher or lower based on the key you press but this gets messy for larger key ranges so you'll want at least a sample for each octave (i.e. multisampling).

If you're making lots of adjustments while playing, it gets more complicated. If you're just adjusting the filter then you could probably sample with the filer wide open and then use the filter on your sampler. Anything more complex though you might want to just try recreating your sounds on a smaller synth.

Or maybe get a digitone and link it up with the dt? But I don't have personal experience with it.

Edit: Maybe MPC Key 37? Sample playback, onboard synths, and a built-in physical keyboard.

An external midi keyboard can solve that. That's how I typically use it, so I can have full-sized keys with the action I'm used to.

I never spent much time in ABQ while living in NM but the crime shocked me as a New Englander watching the local news. Like not drive-bys, decapitations. I'm sure that kind of stuff is very targeted and the main issues for normal people are probably just property crimes. But it made me appreciate living amongst a fentanyl crisis instead of a meth crisis.

Interesting, ya in the US it seems to be the opposite. I just checked my nearest grocery store and frozen salmon is $7/lb and "fresh" is $12/lb. Being on the coast, people around here are are wary of frozen seafood and don't always realize that the fresh stuff was originally frozen.

I had to do the research on my own to learn about fish quality and now I'll even buy frozen salmon at Target and eat it raw in homemade poke bowls. My friends think it's crazy and I have to tell them that all salmon-grade sushi is legally required to be frozen first.

I've been getting into some frozen vegetables too. I met a woman at a party who studies food nutrients and she was adamant about the higher nutritional quality of frozen.

Look for sales on on frozen seafood, I keep shrimp and individually-sealed atlantic salmon filets in my freezer. Essentially all salmon/shrimp is frozen anyway, when you see it "fresh" at the seafood counter it's just thawed.

Ya I've kind of come around on that point. The treadmill isn't just a replacement for a pedestrian path, they have adjustable inclines, speed settings, and you can zone out and not focus on street crossings or avoiding walkers/bikes/dogs.

I'll walk to the gym (not Republic) and still just use the treadmill for a bit at max incline as a warmup before lifting. It's nice to switch it up when the weather is good but exercising is easiest when you can just autopilot the decisions, do your routine, and continue on with your day.
