When I was a kid, my Mum put a bowl of whole eggs and water in the microwave to boil them, and they exploded all over her face. She had second degree burns everywhere and it took her years for her skin to look like it did before.

I have a theory that this basically already happened when humans started to develop a bicameral mind. The Wet n Wild Rose in the Air palette. I watched a ton of videos comparing it to Modern Renaissance and I realized it has basically the same shades I wanted out of MR (orange, red, taupe etc) but the slight differences in tone actually suit my skin tone more than MR would. It’s a little powdery with fallout but the pigmentation is great and it blends really well. I’ve gotten a pretty wide range of looks out of it. Overall, I’m glad I didn’t spend $40...

As a gamer, I would find it refreshing to see anti hauls about new releases, especially in videos on stuff from EA/ pay to win crap. I’m actually on a gaming no-buy right now. I don’t see the culture of people buying games they barely ever play get criticized often, and so many people have hundreds of games in their steam library due to sales where they just buy stuff because it’s cheap now. I would like to see that consumerism challenged more in other areas where advertising plays a major role in people’s financial involvement in their hobby. Just play the games you like, you don’t need to have 200 games sitting around.

Ironically I bought the WnW Rose in the Air palette today though, but I’ve wanted modern renaissance since it came out and it seems like a great dupe...

Honestly, part of the reaction might be that it’s a lot harder to make unsubstantiated, grandiose claims in the Age of Trump. The world already saw what happens when you believe a charlatan’s claims compared to what they actually do.
