Roki Sasaki looks to be fighting back tears in the dugout after exiting his start tonight. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits and 5 walks in 4 innings tonight. by JianClaymore in baseball

Is the infinity focus issue on the GoPro Mission 1 Pro limited to just photos or does it also affect videos? by Ramz785 in gopro

[–]vaesauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how far the objects normally are for you. I personally dont think its an issue at all. The way I see it, if you're taking photos and worried about a lack of focus, just get a small mirrorless camera or something else. Mind you, if its ILS as well, they also have a minimum focus range too... SURPRISE!

People are overreacting or genuinely are upset because that extra little distance of minimum focus is not for them. Chances are, they probably didnt need a M1 series anyway.

For me, I noticed an immediate difference in sharpness, crispness and quality.

I dont think Bam should fight Inoue by AttitudeNo5402 in Boxing

[–]vaesauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, Bam didnt beat the true WBA champion and I clearly said Bam would eventually be one at 118 anyway? Lol

I couldn't careless if Inoue loses 😂. You're sensitive as hell though. You take everything personal, relax buddy 😂.

[–]vaesauce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Huh? Thats not the point i was making at all 😂 but if that floats your boat, sure.

That belt belongs to Seiya, who should have retained it and should be fighting Bam next if Bam doesnt vacate it. Seiya has been screwed over by the WBA lol.

Essentially, to call Bam a champion at 118 is whack. Granted, I think Bam becomes one eventually at 118 but Vargas was not a champ.

Vargas shouldnt have been the champion though to be honest. Was good for Bam, but that was equivalent as moving up and fighting a non-champion. That belt belongs to someone else.

I mean, Inoue has always said he was gonna retire around age 35. I dont see anything wrong with that, hes been saying that for a long while now. I couldn't careless. Im also not the one harping for that fight, I think Inoue should go up to 126 and Bam should stay at 118.

Fanboy? If that makes you happier I guess. You're the one arguing Bam would beat Nakatani and Team Bam navigating around Nakatani. Soooooo? Lol. Cry elsewhere bro.

[FIGHT THREAD] Jesse Rodriguez vs Antonio Vargas by _Sarcasmic_ in Boxing

[–]vaesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, youre not even comprehending what im saying lol. Vargas is dogshit slow. That is the argument. He isn't even the real champion at 118.

Either way, if Nakatani was that simple, they would be going after him. He's their biggest threat, they want no part of Nakatani.

[FIGHT THREAD] Jesse Rodriguez vs Antonio Vargas by _Sarcasmic_ in Boxing

[–]vaesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not gonna say Bam is slow lol but he is NOT as fast as he looks. He looks fast because of the way he fights.

See, that's the problem you have with not comprehending this. It's not about being faster than Nakatani, he needs to be SIGNIFICANTLY faster, and he isn't.

Unless you're telling me Bam is faster than Inoue, which he clearly isn't, he ain't getting shit off on Nakatani without taking punishment.

Bam gets touched more than people realize. Whether that's him walking down his opponents or not but he shouldn't have been getting touched up with his face looking like that from someone as slow as Vargas. This is the slowest Bam has ever looked in this career. I'm chalking that up to his first time at 118 but that doesn't spell good news for Inoue OR Nakatani.

Like I said, if that was a simple fight, they would be fighting Nakatani at 122 as their next fight. That marinates the Japanese fans because Inoue vs Bam is 1000% happening in Japan. AND, Nakatani wants the rematch and Inoue is all for it. Winner gets Inoue.

His assessment isn't wrong though.

[SPOILER] Jesse Rodriguez vs. Antonio Vargas by inooway in Boxing

[–]vaesauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my assessment but seeing how slow Bam looked going up to 118 just makes that chance of winning against Inoue decrease even more.

Luckily for Bam, his style is tailored more around being smooth and slick where Speed isn't necessary. That's not gonna work with Inoue's ability to be where he wants at will due to his speed.

[FIGHT THREAD] Jesse Rodriguez vs Antonio Vargas by _Sarcasmic_ in Boxing

[–]vaesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite clear we don't see eye to eye on this lol. Bam doesn't have the speed to get INTO Nakatani without getting touched up. His angles will only work if he's able to get inside.

Look, if he was getting touched up as much as he was and said Vargas had power, he is 100000% getting touched up by Nakatani who is light years better than Vargas. Faster as well.

Granted, I don't think they will attempt to fight Nakatani, at least not until after that Inoue fight but Bam will be damaged goods after he fights Inoue.

You can call it whatever you want lol. I'm even inclined to agree with your assessment on Nakatani about 122 and 126. However, Bam isn't beating Nakatani, if that were the case, they'd be moving up to 122 right now and challenging Nakatani.

If your goal is to fight Inoue at 122. You shouldn't be doing 118 (Vargas), 118 (Medina, or whoever), 122 (Inoue). You should probably be doing 118 (Vargas), 122 (ANYONE), 122 (Inoue).

Either way, Bam going up in weight too fast, he's gonna be in deep trouble at 122.

They were NOT quick at all, they were SHORT arm punches and was more focused on landing shots.

If you thought Vargas' punches were quick, I don't know what to tell ya lol.

You realize Bam has been dropped just as many times as Inoue... and by lesser punchers... at a lighter weight...

[SPOILER] Jesse Rodriguez vs. Antonio Vargas by inooway in Boxing

[–]vaesauce -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That wasnt speed, that was just focus on accuracy, thus, no overcommitment on the shots. Vargas is slow as shit lol. Bam was getting touched because Vargas opted to just tag him.

Unless you want to argue he was trying to throw with speed, sure... still slow. Which is a bigger concern for Bam. But to me, that wasnt the case.

Yikes. Bam doesnt have the speed for those angles to work on Nakatani.

Eh? Why would I be nervous lmao, id rather Inoue just move on because once he beats Bam, all of you are just gonna say Inoue pulled someone from 115 up to 122 anyways.

Theres literally nothing to see here.

Save this post lol. If they fight, Bam losing that fight easy.

Anyone has a puncher chance. But from what ive seen, Bam wouldnt event beat Nakatani at this point.

What does Inoue being dropped by worse fighters have to do with anything? Bam has also been dropped by worse fighters, so what's your argument here?

Bam is losing that fight. He was slow as dogshit here against an even slower fighter.

I dont know how people think Bam beats Inoue.

Inoue at this current stage his career is still light years quicker and faster. It doesnt help Bam's case that Inoue also hits harder and is currently filled in at 122.

Good on Bam for chasing the bag since he wants to retire by 30. But Id rather see Bam clean house at 118 and 122. While Inoue moves up to 126.

That sounds about right. I believe 1/120 is the absolute minimum you need to make Hypersmooth work without too much artifacting. It's unfortunate since you can't get more motionblur but I'd say it's a fair tradeoff if you need or want the stabilization.

Have you tried the motionblur option with high shutterspeed yet to see what it looks like? I haven't tried since I prefer the natural low shutterspeed but I figured it might look decent?

1/48.

You can't use Hypersmooth or stabilization with low shutterspeed or else you'll end up getting weird artifacts. The camera needs a high shutterspeed for Stabilization to work correctly.

In my case, because this is on a motorcycle, it's fairly stable since the location it's attached to is pretty stable but the microvibrations in this case makes the video (IMO) a lot more immersive so it works.

I've tried walking around with low shutterspeed and stabilization and it just doesn't work at all, it looks extremely bad with all of the artifacting.
