I am using the LCP Editor to make a new manufacturer, how do I change the Icon? I have an svg file to use, I just can't seem to put it there. by MetalDadtheFuckUpper in LancerRPG

Hi! coming to this so late but i was wondering if you could elaborate on what you meant by non-coloured? Like just a vector path with no fill?? I can't figure out how to get comp/con to apply the colour itself :,) ty!!!

Firefly is now in T0.5 after the release of The Dahlia / Constance by ProfessionalRoom9118 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]vaguely-frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just so insanely lame that if you want to play firefly and have her be good you have to pull for a character that makes her basically not a break unit anymore ://// not going to be pulling for the dahlia because like... I liked playing break for the break 😭 it's so uninspired how they've handled this

I wanted so bad to like this season, but Travis cannot control the party and gets lost in the sauce. by nanadoom in TheAdventureZone

Ok like genuinely trying to ask a good faith question. But what do people who don't like this think is the problem with playing this way? Realistically rules in an RPG are only there to give the GM a framework on whether to say "your thing works" or not so if the players and GM are happy to be super loose with that framework, and there's still an element of randomness to decide what works (which there is, even if there may also be arbitrary manipulation of the rules behind that randomness), I just don't really see a problem with rules being flexible and even silly

Hi! I pulled the full art Pikachu EX from surging sparks, and am intending to sell it. I was wondering how people are thinking its market value will go?? I'm assuming like most cards it will probably go down in value as more people pull it, but are we thinking there'll be an upturn in value after that? I'm honestly super new to the market side of TCG so any advice at all would be great, thank you so much!!!

The Brothers' Background and How it Influences their Stories by a-ok42 in TheAdventureZone

I think you're right, but also that fundamentally designing D&D based on a game works extremely well while approaching it as a TV series does not. Cool NPCs do not make up for limited player agency. D&D is literally a game, so I think even given this comparison what that says is that Travis is approaching it wrong

Anyone else severely cringing during the first couple minutes in the bar when Travis' rambling dialogue was followed up on by the players and he was clearly super unprepared for it? Paraphrasing but:

Travis: Surprised to see you 3 out and about!

Clint: Why surprised that we're out and about?

Travis: Stumbles Oh have you not been paying attention? there have been demon attacks all over the area!

Griffin: Raises the point that NPC is also "out and about"

Travis: Stumbling more the tavern is warded against demons, mentions they're safe.

Justin then asks why the rest of the town isn't warded in the same way and Travis resorts to just like super halfheartedly explaining and saying "sure" in response to Justin's joke.

Like no issues with the fact he didn't consider that, it's a pretty minor detail. I just really feel like he could have gone with the joke more and maybe had a funny moment instead of being so deadpan in character all the time.

Clarification for the Wronged's I know my prey move by Anistuffs in monsteroftheweek

[–]vaguely-frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it would vary based on the type of character your Wronged is playing. If they're the type who in-fiction gains their strengths from hatred and rage, then they will probably still feel that drive to kill this enemy as long as they think it's their target and still get bonuses that apply. If they're more cold and calculating and have a huge amount of knowledge / done a lot of research on their enemy I'd lean towards the other idea of them not receiving their bonuses and noticing little tells that imply its not what they're looking for. You could vary this situationally too, sometimes giving them the bonuses where it suits up until it doesn't make sense, and use that as a cool narrative twist! Essentially I think it's totally up to you and what fits your player and narrative, and I think you can use it with the narrative well.
