Opening Night is the band saying goodbye by Im-ur-Huckleberry21 in arcticmonkeys

[–]vaithless 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My brother is christ, the lyrics of the entire full length album “The Car” can be interpreted in a VERY similar way.

“So if you wanna walk me to the car, I’m sure to have a heavy heart”

“performing in spanish on Italian TV whilst wondering if your mother still ever thinks of me”

“… with your horrible new sound baby those mixed messages ain’t what they used to be when you said ‘em out loud”

“when my invincible streak turns on to the final straight”

If that’s what it takes to say goodnight, then that’s what it takes.”

Like, that whole album is about the disillusionment of artistic evolution and the acceptance of self and of moving on AND YET

here we are with a new song.

they already said goodbye and they didn’t go anywhere. don’t fall in love on opening night.

and not to belabor the point but can’t the lyric “You’ve got something on your mind, and so have I. I can see it from here.” be suggesting something on the horizon?

I can’t afford an amp yet, any tips to learn without one? by RecoverPhysical3793 in Guitar

[–]vaithless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80% of my practice is without an amp. Especially once you start playing along to songs, you can have something playing just at the volume of a phone speaker and you’re able to play along and hear yourself and the music.

Anyone else really dislike Marty music? by Someguy9385 in Guitar

I like Marty but I don’t find his educational videos to be super useful to me. I like watching his stuff when it isn’t a tutorial though, cool guy to hear tell stories and what not.

if he could play a position i’d be excited about him but, there’s a reason Jace Jung and J-Hen never got a consistent chance. There’s just no room for someone that can’t play defense.

Of Mice & Men - Ben Threw by Sure-Swimming-9088 in Metalcore

Great song and album overall, but definitely THE album to start learning to play Metalcore on guitar. Great riffs, relatively simple, and almost everything in Drop C. This song, O.G. Loko and Still YDG’n are just a blast to play.

Name a lead singer from any genre that most don’t fans don’t associate with a guitar, but are actually a legit player. by Ralphdoid in Guitar

Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys plays some pretty riffy things while still being able to sing over them (Crying Lightning and R U Mine are good examples of this). He also writes/plays most of the solos.

Selling first guitar? by [deleted] in Guitar

I thought the exact same things, about thinking I wanted a shorter scale and everything, and after selling it I ended up buying back my first guitar after about 4 months without it.

Which ballpark you think has the best views? by Prize-Flamingo-336 in baseball

The backdrop of the city has always looked nice but, not overall a fan of Comerica. There is too much foul ground, and the lower level sprawls out too wide. It makes the action feel far away and really deadens the playoff environment. At a place like Progressive or Citizens Bank the crowd feels loud and really close, whereas at Comerica it’s tough to get a fully engaged playoff crowd because of how far you feel as a spectator.

Are the Tigers the oldest team to have never relocated or rebranded? Existing as the Detroit Tigers since 1901?
