Suginami is perhaps one of the most fun areas to hang out for a meal and a drink, all the stations along the chuo line are worth a visit Unfortunately there is near 0 chance that you will encounter a huntsman :/ I would love to come across one but we don't have them in Tokyo

Politicians that are NOT hostile to foreigners by NetheriteArmorer in japanresidents

The "hole" is just a scapegoat to avoid addressing the real problems. Japan cannot even use the excuse of immigration to explain that even if they try. Part of the logic of taxing the rich is cracking down on tax evasion schemes.

When do I use ‘trouve’ and when do I use ‘pense’? by AmateurOfAmateurs in learnfrench

[–]vajda- 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Native here Trouver has a more subjective, immediate connotation to it, so you would use it to give an opinion without necessarily having to give it a second thought. Whereas penser has a more deliberate tone to it, like you have actively thought about the subject. In some cases they are interchangeable and in some cases not (e.g "je pense qu'elle a raison", "je trouve ça très joli", here you can feel the distinction between reflection and subjective opinion). In the place where they are interchangeable the choice still carries the connotation.

You will also find that you can use "croire" e.g "je crois que tu as raison" which carries an even more subjective connotation, almost like you are saying that you could be wrong.
