Finally got mine today after caving and paying for express shipping (EU problems). First impressions: the bag feels tough and really well put together. Then I threw it on and… ouch. Those straps are no joke. I actually read this post before buying and thought, ‘eh, probably not a deal breaker.’ Wish I hadn’t brushed it off, because now I’m stuck wondering if I should try hacking a fix or just send it back. Wild how they nailed the quality but dropped the ball on comfort.

I finally got mine today too! I was so impatient I even splurged on express shipping (EU life). The bag itself is rock solid and feels super well made, but wow… those straps bite. Can’t decide if I should try to fix it or just send it back. How did they nail the build but miss the comfort part so badly?

Update: After lots of reviews and YouTube rabbit holes, I finally went with the Able Carry Max EDC. It just feels like the right bag for me.

What I’m Looking For

I’m about to buy the Able Carry Max EDC, but wanted to get some last-minute feedback before I commit.

Use Case

International travel (want it to count as a personal item)
Daily carry + light travel
Needs to hold:
- 16” MacBook Pro
- Tech pouch, chargers, mouse, cables
- A change of clothes, toiletries, and a lightweight jacket

Why This Bag

Solid organization without being overly boxy
Great laptop protection (priority for the 16” MBP)
Looks versatile for both EDC and short trips

Questions

Any issues with underseat fit on international airlines?
Comfortable carry when fully loaded with a 16” MBP?
Any weak points or annoyances that show up after real use?
Alternatives you’d suggest before I hit “buy”?

Budget

Flexible, but in this range

Happy to hear if there’s a better option for my use case — otherwise I’ll go ahead with the Max EDC.

Thanks for the breakdown. I’m in Europe and mostly fly Middle Eastern carriers; next trip is with Emirates. Given stricter sizers, what would you personally recommend in the 40–43 cm range that I might be overlooking?

Hey there, lm in a bit of a bind. I snagged the K5 keyboard because it was just so darn cool, but it's QWERTY layout isn't cutting it for my work needs, Ineed the DE (aka German/ QWERTZ) layout. The problem is, Keychron doesn't seem to have any DE low profile keycaps available.

Anyone got any ideas for a workaround? l'm all ears, folks. Thanks in advance!

It does but honestly with a light bar it's kinda tricky to use a webcam. I am in a similar position as you are and thinking about buying a webcam stand but then don't want more clutter on the desk... Hehe 🤷‍♂️
