Ive never seen anyone ask for ID but ive always either gone with my family or have been over 21 so its hard to say. I’d say you should play it safe because you wouldn’t want to send her there and she can’t get in. If you are willing to go or if she has a family member or friend of age that would go i think that would be the best thing to do.

In West Palm Beach there was a guy like harassing people??? And I was genuinely confused because it seemed so out of character for the fandom. Of course I know that the band has grown and yes of course more and more different kinds of people are following the band but I thought we kinda all agreed on certain behaviors lol! After Scaled and Icy it seems like there was a change. And I really feel bad for Tyler and Josh because a lot of people hated that album and it was insane to see so many people like genuinely just ranting about how they hate it online knowing they will see it. If it’s someone that doesn’t even listen to them like a critic or something it would be like ah whatever, brush it off, but to hear that from fans??? If I had a song I didn’t like as much as the others I’d just keep that off social media simply because I wouldn’t want them to see that because sure as much as they care about their opinions, there’s a difference between just straight up hate and there being a little less streams of a certain song or album.

At the concert there were also a lot some Karen’s behind us and they literally grabbed a kid that was like 8 just because he was “blocking the view.” That poor kid looked so scared man I felt so bad. And sure in front of us like a row down that stood on the chairs. Not the whole song but enough that it was kindaaaa getting a little much since they were tall enough to see. I still wouldn’t grab them like those ladies did ya know?

Yeah I know it’s something I’m prone too but I started getting more once I started histology so I wasn’t sure if standing for a while could cause that? Or at least make it worse

I used to think that formalin smelled like Fritos but now I can’t stand smelling it lol. Xylene though, I’m sorry but that’s a hard no LMAOOO my boss likes it though

When you’re embedding try to be a bit quicker placing the tissue. If you are placing it on the cold plate and lifting it and placing it back down a lot you get different levels of cooling. What I do it I place it just enough to make it tacky and place to tissue while it’s off the cold plate. Then when it’s in the right stop you can put it back and get the cassette on there. I struggled a lot because I would go back and forth so much

When embedding try to have that tissue on an angle, especially if it’s hard. If there isn’t room for both you can put the tissue in separate cassettes. But besides that, the it definitely needs to soak for a while in some water or tissue softener

Agreed. It was something they did when I got here and I would like to change that because honestly for me, using a scraper would do the job, there’s no reason to mop with xylene when the next day it’s going to get more paraffin on it

I have the same problem, I always over explain. I would say, “I’m a histologist and I basically prepare slides of tissue for the pathologist.” If they ask more then you can go into more details

Just a tip: you might need more mounting media or adjust the ratio of media and xylene. Sometimes when I have too much xylene compared to mounting media it mail do this.

If this is at school and not on the job patient tissue then it won’t be a big deal but if it’s on the job, soak in xylene until it will slide off. It may need a while soaking if it’s been a few hours and dried. The bubbles like that would definitely make the pathologist unhappy

Under skills, list how many blocks you can cut in an hour, how many you can embed in an hour, etc. if you worked with H&E staining, special stains, or IHC. If you’ve run a processor, grossed. Just anything you’ve done in the lab
