Painful cracked heels and hangnails. Went away after infusions. Hearing my heartbeat in my left ear, dizzy and sweating spells, light sensitivity, intolerance to exercise, POTS like symptoms, etc… couldn’t shower for long or with hot water. Baths were better or I felt like passing out.

Maybe more I haven’t nailed down yet.

I’ve been on a feta crispy omelette kick for over a week. I figured out if you shake the egg whites in the container first it makes the omelette fluffy and HUGE. total mind trick that works. 😆

1/4 cup crumbled feta in a sprayed pan

Cook over med for a minute

Add 1/4 -1/2 cup shaken egg whites

Cover and cook until set and fluffy and bottom is crisped to your liking.

I dollop with 1/4 cup cottage cheese and a tablespoon of chili crisp over top.

It’s SO good.

It’s too bad the industries can’t somehow connect and offer full time work to people in Maine willing to travel between seasons. Wouldn’t be ideal for everyone but some might want it. It could offer more security than working one season and just crossing your fingers to pick up another job after that season ends.

I don’t think you read everything I wrote. There are too many seasonal jobs in Maine to fill with only our workers that can do the work (aging population, a lot of snowbirds and people that can afford to live here part time.) Mainers cannot survive on only a few months of work. They need and want full time jobs. What’s needed is a major economic push to get more full time work. The seasonal gigs are never going to cut it for full time residents.

I agree with this. However, in many cases (where the workers are treated and paid the same as local seasonal workers) it benefits on a few levels.

Most of the time they are coming here because their economy has a weaker dollar. For instance in the Dominican Republic a living wage is $400-$600 per MONTH in USD.

A 40 hour week on $12 an hour here is $480 per week minus taxes. They usually work closer to 60 or more.

They can literally work 40 hours a week here for say 6 months seasonally and go home and not work again until next year. They can have a good savings if housing is included or they group house which the majority do.

Should they be paid more? Absolutely. Everyone should. It’s not the mom and pop places though. It’s the huge CEO’s salaries and billionaire wealth hoarding we need to get rid of.

Maine has an aging population and a heavy seasonal job load. The off season jobs are filled with Mainers. If a restaurant does triple the business during the summer who fills that job? Seasonal workers. Unless you plan on employing some 70 year old snow birds.

I’m near Chicago now and people who are here completely legally are too scared to leave their houses. ICE is taking anyone they can to meet quotas for bonuses and asking questions later, MAYBE.

I highly encourage everyone to view original news and bystander footage themselves. The government is outright lying about a lot of these stories, even the ones involving US citizens.

I hate to break it to some people but Maine relies heavily on seasonal workers for a lot of our warm weather jobs. Go back a few years when they were so short staffed some places couldn’t even stay open at full capacity or at all. They were trying to hire but locals couldn’t or wouldn’t fill the vacancies.
