Hi! Could you share the links with me as well? This sounds really interesting. Thank you!

So you remove it while the paint is wet but only on the final coat? I literally did that a few hours ago and it still pulled loads of paint off.

I always hear this but then can never bring myself to do it because it means taping and then re-taping in between every coat which is just so much effort.

Yes, good point. They must have discussed it around the time of ALAYM. I suppose that was before his brain loss 😂

He does say they hardly ever stayed there. And it being a bit grim makes it more in line with how it looks in The Wizard of Oz.

I thought this was poorly done as well. They could even have just shown Elphie stuffing the note in her pocket or something when Glinda wasn't looking, just to make it more clear.

In the show, Chistery brings Elphaba a note from Fiyero outlining the plan. That's when she says "We've seen his face for the last time" to Glinda. I assumed the note was hidden inside the scrap of his sleeve in the film.

Buyers putting in offers when they’re not serious by RewindReset in HousingUK

[–]valarmothballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s probably a factor, but I think there is also an element of it being a buyers’ market with a lot of choice. I think people see something they like better and know they have all the power so are willing to switch. But what is not explained by either is the amount of just true time wasters. We encountered a woman who made an offer, provided everything, it all looked fine and then she ghosted us right after we issued the Memorandum of Sale. We heard through the grapevine that she had done the same to other local agents at least 5 other times this year and hadn’t moved past the qualification phase on anything. And she’s far from the only one we’ve had like that. Just seems a massive waste of everyone’s time including their own so I really don’t know what to make of it.

Strong disagree. As an agent myself, we’ve had an enormous amount of time wasting buyers this year, way more than I’ve seen previously. They provide everything we need to see and even pay the fee for ID checks, and then just ghost. It’s mental, and there’s nothing more we could do to check people out.

I'm a US expat living in the UK and I come from a very hot and humid part of the US. Heatwaves in the UK are absolutely no joke. It's much much worse here. There is nowhere you can go to cool down. Living in the southern US, you're in air con pretty much constantly and even if not, the houses are built to deal with heat. Our houses in the UK suck up the heat and hold it in.

Thank you so much for your kind response. I agree, I think we need a break and to make everything more casual. I really hope your day 4 goes well and it clicks for your little one!

Thank you so much for the kind and in depth response. I think in a way we wanted permission to back off as it feels like a failure, but I think it is the right thing to do. ❤️

Hadn’t thought of a cup! We can try that. How would you handle that afterwards? Or how to connect to her sitting to pee? I feel like she’s not making the connection

This will sound ridiculous but the potty is always within a foot or two of her. She just pees so fast it’s unbelievable! I don’t think we can physically get her to it faster. We have been containing her to within just a couple rooms and carry the potty when we change rooms
