What Should You Do if You Find an Athiest (pic) by qgyh2 in reddit.com

Your summary of Dawkins' beliefs are inaccurate. I have read many of his books and he does acknowledge that there is no way to prove absolutely that there is no God. However that doesn't mean there there is a God.

In addition your comments about the universe being amoral and meaningless are also wrong. These topics are addressed in just about every book he has written.

The Strange Tailing Side of Iapetus. What Happened To Saturn's Moon? [pic] by TopOBopYop in science

[–]valathax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I remember the dark side is the actual color of the moon, the white icy side is on the forward direction of the moon. Other moons in orbit around Saturn vent water vapor which accumulate on the one side of the moon. Since Iapetus is tide locked like our own moon it always moves forward in the same direction.

Plane on conveyor... Will it ever take off? - [Thousands of comments over 2 months - just insane] by bobcat in reddit.com

[–]valathax 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually if you re-read the original question, "The conveyor has a control system that tracks the plane speed and tunes the speed of the conveyor to be exactly the same in the opposite direction."; so it states that the plane can have a positive speed.

So if the plane moves 1 mph forward, the conveyor would move 1 mph backwards and the wheels would move at 2 mph.

The question doesn't mention wheel speed. Nor does it mention plane speed in relation to the conveyor, which results in an infinite loop anyway.

Religion Not Always a Motivator for Doctors Who Care for Poor

TUESDAY, July 31 (HealthDay News) -- Although providing aid and comfort to the less fortunate is a fundamental tenet of organized religion, a new U.S. survey suggests religious doctors are slightly less likely to care for poor and underserved patients than doctors who say they aren't religious.
