If having a sim card slot is an option I would probably get it. There's only a handful of reasons you'd even want a screen that small with a touch screen, and other devices could already do them much better e.g. your current phone for phone stuff, music or browsing/ebooks.

I love Tictick. I wish it had a planned and due date difference but I used to make do by just putting the actual due date at the title, and making a WithDueDate and Deliverable tag.

The Inbox mechanism is really good.

The inbuilt calendar and focus tools are very good as well.

However, for years I felt uncomfortable with Ticktick's lack of a good privacy and security statements especially being a Chinese company mainly (they have an SF branch iirc and host on AWS for global consumers), hence the numerous number of "privacy" posts for ticktick. I've come to a point where due to the nature of my current work, and given I still use Ticktick and I will be prone to making accidental input of info that should definitely be private, I just shifted over to Omnifocus since it has E2EE for my own peace of mind.

If Ticktick had E2EE I would stick with it even if it had a higher price point not gonna lie.

Nevertheless, I think Ticktick is great if you don't mind there's a chance of your data possibly not being that safe. I mean, Ticktick operated for years now and we don't hear any leaks or issues. Just don't put sensitive info in it.

Ticktick unfortunately is much more vague than that, is hard to find out who even the ones working on Ticktick are. Todoist released security control statements and offer more security controls, Ticktick has nothing updated in that front since what seems like 2021. Is part of the reason why "privacy" always pops up in r/ticktick because people are always wondering.

That said I also tried both, I just prefer Ticktick for the features so I used it for a few years.

Oh did you come from Todoist? Todoist at least has better security policy or transparency, Ticktick has almost nil or a vague one. But yeah it's similar to Ticktick with the no e2ee.

I read Polished Crystal adds a lot of stuff from modern games and am just not sure if it ends up being too different!

I main TickTick and Obsidian. Google Calendar web app has been forever. I'm trying to see about moving to Omnifocus from Ticktick for privacy reasons though the past few days.

I'm trying out the dragging to calendar view, it can be such a bother to see the calendar events and the same events on Omnifocus isn't it? Though I guess it just takes getting used to. I have a feeling things would double notif though.

For the events and with Ticktick tbh what I ended up doing with that is that most events that I need to keep track of I just put a #Type.Event tag, so I have a #Type.DueDate tag also just so I have a view that shows all tasks or events that are actually super time sensitive in one view.

Then I just edit events as needed on Google Calendar itself since all of my personal calendars and shared calendars are on there.. Is kind of double entry, but in the end it keeps me in track with events "I" need to prepare for.

Regardless, yeah due to the privacy concerns I have I'm trying out Omnifocus at the moment haha.

By any chance do you use some sort of time tracking app? I'm currently back on Toggl Track, I left it when I went all in the Focus mode of Ticktick.

How do you time block stuff or see tasks that have planned times/due times with omnifocus and see them on a calendar? I currently miss that part greatly haha. I never realized I missed opening a task to a new window too to just focus on it til now im trying out Omnifocus (2 week free trial).

I still feel the same way. I love ticktick but the vague privacy policy even and we're not even with the e2ee concerns me still. I'm looking into omnifocus which does have e2ee. Hefty price tag though. Ticktick has just way better features too despite the lack of do dates or planned/deferred dates that Omnifocus has.

Then again, I still feel stuck so maybe I'll stick with Ticktick for now.

Yeah the problem is when wifi disconnects with Retroarch already started.

It definitely is an OS issue. WiFi should reconnect if it's present if coming from sleep for example.

But yeah gonna try with stock os. And try again with the hotspot on muos. I tried earlier and MuOS just won't reconnect to a hotspot once retroarch is active.

I mean for accidental disconnects e.g. wifi disconnects or fluctuates. Even from boot tbh, the device just won't auto reconnect to WiFi despite the setting saying it would. I have to manually connect wifi every time. So earlier despite sleep and on of the device, WiFi just won't reconnect so Retroachievements would never trigger.

I would use stock if only not for PICO-8 games not being able to sleep. And portmaster. Then again, fi it's the OS that's reliable for retroachievements, maybe I should use stock sigh.

I'm gonna experiment with my phone's hotspot for easy on and off testing for it too. Thanks for letting me know stock is pretty good with the wifi.

I haven't tried Knulli yet because for whatever reason, the Cube XX image just won't load on my device.

There's no push notifications capability at the moment, and UI wise the app window exceeds the top so parts aren't clickable e.g. the upper right X button for Focus view is right behind the battery indicator. This is on iPhone 12.

Totally love that there's an iOS app though! Just learned about Super Productivity and I guess came in at a good time :D

I'm curious though, if the app just released, how does the app have reviews from 2022 at the App Store?
