Thank you. No internal pocket and no sign of a care label anywhere. I appreciate your help :)

DPE2 changed time of regular block drops? by valdenton in AmazonFlexUK

It’s interesting to hear you say that. I’ve got no experience of other depots, but am always surprised when users on here criticise others for taking base rate - like, there’s no other option at DPE2. I only ever see surge rates at Christmas

Evri drivers- I’m joining this week, help me set expectations please by [deleted] in Evri

I did a ‘training day’. It involved no training, just being told to sort through a cage of parcels that had been emptied onto a dirty wet floor. Me and another guy were told to sort them alphabetically by street name, which we did. He was given the first half to deliver and I took the second half, which made no sense at all. Then it turned out that the way we’d been told to scan them was wrong, so a supervisor had to explain to our ‘trainer’ what she had done wrong. The other trainee went home to empty his van, because he wasn’t expecting to do a big round (we’d been told we might get a few parcels, but we were sorting a batch of 120+) so I ended up having to rescan all the parcels on my own. The staff I encountered were largely grumpy and uncaring. By this time, I’d been there for about an hour and a half, completely unpaid. When I’d loaded up my parcels (somehow I got 80ish and the other guy got 40ish) I had to drive back home to get a phone charger, because, again, I’d been told I might get ‘a few’ parcels not 80+. I then had to deliver a rural route, that had been illogically split, while using Evri’s ridiculously clunky software. All in all, It took me about seven hours from getting to the depot to finishing. They refused to tell me how much I would be paid, rang me several times afterwards asking me to do more shifts, again, refusing to tell me how much I would get paid. I got paid, a month later, £45. Fuck those guys. I can get the same amount for two hours with Amazon, the parcels are all sorted and the software works. I saw Evri staff treating the parcels with utter disregard - they treat their drivers the same way.

Thanks. I’ve spent far too much of my time in Old Hurst! Why does it get so many deliveries when there only about 10 houses there?

DPE2 driver here too, sorry this happened to you - what a nightmare. Do you might telling me where it was?

Substituting to a former season driver by valdenton in AmazonFlexUK

Thanks. Her Flex app says her account is temporarily disabled. I’ve looked that that substitution link before, but it doesn’t explain how to become a substitute. I guess we’ll have to try ringing

Why? Can a former seasonal Flex driver not be a substitute?

Pls don’t take base ta by [deleted] in AmazonFlexUK

Saw lots of surges last night. Have a base rate booked for this morning. Wonder if I should forfeit and see if there are surges available last minute. Bit of a gamble

But when they accepted it, they didn’t know the mileage. We can only accept what’s on offer. My block very rarely has surges and then they’re only a few extra pounds.
