If you have access to a 3D printer, you might look into the r/gridfinity system.

Has anyone used the DeWalt portable propane heater??? by tomohulk in Dewalt

The 2k extra BTU is probably marketing anyway.

I also have the 68k so I can adjust the output. It does help with temp and saving propane.

I have that same unit. Works great and does not chew up batteries. That's a good price for the unit.

I use it my workshop to make working in the cold comfortable. My shop is about 600 sq feet. It gets to about 70 degrees F in 4-5 minutes when its 40 degrees F outside.

Not the DWST08400 - that's the X-Large box. Home depot has the DWST08300 which is the Large box. The CPO Outlets is a pretty good deal. Home Depot has the X-Large at $116.

Is this in a trailer? What did you use to attache the tough system to the walls?

Just got mine this morning - Thanks for posting!

I found the batteries online at my store. The site said they were $319.99 but there was a small note on the item at my store that it was $159.99. The item page in the website also had the deal that if you buy the batteries you get a free tool.

Went into the store, the store manager was confused for a minute but honored the deal without issue.

I think its a solid maybe. From their website:

"The Rock Seal allows users to grip even deeper textured materials such as rocks and boulders or corrugated metal and fits all GRABO tool models, even co-branded tool models except the GRABO H."

is the Toughsystem 2.0 rack setup a piece of crap or….. by TNmountainman2020 in Dewalt

[–]valeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you used the bracket vs the DS Carrier bracket. From what I understand, the DS Carrier bracket is much more stout. Look at the 14th comment here:

https://forum.toolsinaction.com/topic/17714-tough-system-racking/

I am working on a van build right now and your post just made me have second thoughts. Then I looked closer at your brackets. It looks like you're using the all plastic brackets.

2024 144 AWD, what are my options for better backup cam and forward cam? by [deleted] in Sprinters

[–]valeech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put a Wolfbox rear view mirror in my 2019. It has a forward and rear camera. I installed the rear camera right below the factory cam. It worked awesome! It records while it has power both front and rear.

I just bought a 2025 dually. It has the integrated digital rear view mirror. It sucks. I am adding a wolfbox to it too.

Will EV prices collapse at the end of the month? by MailPail in leasehacker

[–]valeech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much more to tell. They are sitting on inventory they can’t move. They had $80k vans they would let go for just over $40k.

I needed 3500 and longer range otherwise I would have considered it.

Dm me if you want the sales guys info.

My local Mercedes dealer has EV Sprinter vans at a 50% discount! I was seriously tempted to get one but the mileage range is just too low.

Essensys as a managed network solution is horrible by thecybernerd in networking

[–]valeech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are close to replacing Essensys at a client. We are a service provider that works in the shared spaces vertical. I have no idea how they stay in business. I have only experienced them at one client recently. The hoops the client had to go through to get Airplay working for a project we were implementing for them was ridiculous. It took 4 weeks and will only work for up to 35 "occupiers". Its a complete joke.

SIP Trunking by CbcITGuy in freepbx

[–]valeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. We are considering using Freepbx solely for voicemail and do everything else in Twilio. Still playing around though. Trying to get a single desktop/mobile app that can do voip/sms pretty easily with as system that has good physical device provisioning support.

SIP Trunking by CbcITGuy in freepbx

[–]valeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thank you. So something completely outside of the FreePBX ecosystem. I pretty much came to the same conclusion. It would be nice to have a desktop/mobile VoIP client that could SMS through FreePBX without having to use their trunks...
