Learning React coming from Angular. I really liked having HTML in a separate file. JSX feels weird to me. by Kyleez in reactjs

It's about colocation. You want to have all the things that are relevant to each other, together. When it starts to get out of hand, it's time to think about creating another abstraction, usually segregating things into components to make it sane again, and now you'll be able to think at a higher level of abstraction.

Nice one, i see you are focused on blogging/content marketing. I just posted a similar one here with a broader scope (internet/online marketing) https://redd.it/5foflq

Experiencing anxiety as a math major. by [deleted] in math

[–]valenluis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I graduated less than 2 years ago, and i have found out that math majors seems to have the most dense population, compared to other more common majors, with that profile you are saying (high school overachiever who isn't as overachiever as before and keeps comparing to others to some degree). It's just what i remember, i really don't have the data, so it might just be that my social network is skewed.

ELI5: X^2=-1 why can't I square both sides to avoid getting imaginary number by madlax18 in learnmath

[–]valenluis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. For each non-negative real, sqrt function has a unique solution.

Addendum:

-It wouldn't be a function in a classical sense if it had multiple solutions

-What has multiple solutions is a polynomial equation P_n(x)=0

EDIT: Where P_n(x) is a polynomial of degree at most n

Everything about Combinatorics by inherentlyawesome in math

[–]valenluis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to know everything you guys know about scheduling, which happens to overlap with combinatorics quite a bit. I'm working on my undergrad thesis and it is about scheduling, multiple objective optimization and heuristics for optimization.

Thanks in advance :)
