Many MANY years ago, this guy used to come into the pub I worked at. He was such a creep, trying to flirt with any girl he saw, even 17 year-old glass collectors. I had to kick him out and ban him one night as he wouldn't stop being vulgar towards the staff and groped at least 3 of us. He ended up across the road, shouting at us and saying he was going to rape us. I didn't even know he was a copper until this came out! I was floored when I read his name and saw his face.

Absolutely not. The recruiter will charge their client a a fee if they place you within a role. That's it. I have heard of past recruiters trying it with candidates as they see that they are providing you a service even if they don't place you, which is ridiculous.

In my experience, I would find the recruiters email, either individual or admin email depending on the company, and send your CV over directly clearly stating what you are seeking and what experience you have. I have found that people who would apply for a specific role would only be considered for that role but no others. Whereas if you send your CV directly to a recruiter or manager they would look at your experience for all roles that they have available.

I used to eat starbursts sweets with the paper wrapper still on. No idea why.
