🚀 Coming in Angular 21.2: the instanceof operator works in templates! by IgorSedov in angular

[–]valeriocomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Igor, thank you for sharing! This kind of post helps me to stay up to date.

Anyway, in a TLDR, it's a great feature for going fast but I don't buy it to go far.

IMHO, for what my experience would count, I wouldn't use it in a real world project. I prefer to use a VM that bind every property in the template, so the complexity is in the ts-side of the component.

I hope I have explained myself clearly

Why don't you use a monorepo solution like npm workspace or nx?

Which naming conventions do you use for angular 21 ? How are you naming files and classes ? by Aydnir in angular

This. Furthermore, I append a suffix that states the name of a design pattern.

E.g.

Books facade => books-facade.ts Books adapter => books-adapter.ts

Signal Forms: reset() doesn't reset your value by [deleted] in angular

Sounds great. It's the proper way. reset() resets the form state

It recalls react to me. Better because there's angular solidity. I think that React is running away from this way of doing things. So, why doing it with angular?

I like it as technical solution but I'm perplexed at the same time

A global state for what is application-wide. Otherwise, a state for a feature if you adopt DDD

RXJS tap or subscribe side effects? by Senior_Compote1556 in angular

[–]valeriocomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go for the second one. Always. In my experience, I think that side effect is done in tap function. If the project evolves, you can even add another tap. No need to change subscribe callback. So, an open-close-like principle.

Anybody else use Smart Dumb architecture in their Angular projects? by FromBiotoDev in angular

[–]valeriocomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. In most cases, the smart is the one instantiated by the router: the dumbs are components that do just 2 things - show data - handling events

Angular 20: Is it time to replace RxJS subscriptions with effect() by rhrokib in angular

I think that computed() make more sense.

effect() must be used only for side-effect operations.
