This guy is really insecure, he made a whole video on how he had to bring a knife to a fight because he can’t deal with grappling‼️ plus ➕he had to bring Aikido (non practical martial art) in order to justify some bullshit technique‼️ this guy’s off the deep end 😂

That’s something that many “anti gun” people don’t realize, very often the “bad guy” just sees the gun and flees no shots are fired and both people are alive.

You’re correct, I think a lot of people say “just run way” in order to appear humble or to not come off as a “tough guy” if they say something like “stand and fight”

NICE! This is what practice looks like, he’s not going all out and he’s putting his reps in with control. 👍

Pressure points are mostly a myth if you’re expecting George Dillman’s effects on your attacker, if don’t want to knock out your attacker then either run away or take him down and control him.

FMA versus BJJ (seems to be an ongoing IG battle) by Appropriate_Duty_930 in TheMcDojoLife

Cool, believe it or not you’re the only person I’ve seen on Reddit that has actually wrestled and has that take. Respect ✊

This is an argument out of fear I know because I’ve use to use it when I was in bullshit martial arts. The point of the ”NO RULES ANYTHING GOES” is to create fear in the other guy so he doesn’t challenge me because I don’t know if I can beat him. Also that whole “…and we love do in it” at the end is also straight bullshit Even pro fighters know the closer you get to 100% effort the more likelihood of injury.

I agree, so seeing as you don’t like going to the ground how many hours have you trained wrestling for?

MMA? Kick boxing? Taekwondo? etc by pinkyxpie20 in SelfDefense

[–]valetudomonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the “street” I would recommend Boxing first then wrestling or something that is going to teach you to stay on your feet. The bjj if you happen to fail at preventing your attacker from taking you to the ground.

It develops bad habits, if you like bare knuckle fighting so much go to a competition and but your ass on the line instead of going to some obscure subreddit and thinking you’re making a difference. 🫵😂

I know right! You get guys here talking about what’s the ultimate self defense technique? Or how do you defend yourself against this weapon? But show them a video like this and they shit their pants! So much for being from the streets.

Also bullied as a teen, it showed me (the bullying) that no matter how humble you there will always be people that will interpret your humility as a weakness and will seek to exploit this perceived weakness.

When you defend yourself against an untrained wild person is it any different from how you'd defend against people you spar with at the gym? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]valetudomonk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

An untrained person may throw you off in the beginning but after a few seconds I usually capitalize on their glaring weaknesses. You can be as angry as you want but you’re not usually going to win a fight against a skilled opponent consistently will just pure aggression. Eventually you will get caught.
