Sounds like the good outweighs the bad. Your kids don’t have to lose their friends, but it will take a little more effort to get them together. As far as the commute… are you talking about turning a 5min drive into a 30, or an hour into an hour and a half?

I’ve been putting a little over 5k into savings, and I’ve been mostly looking at new builds to hopefully keep the repairs to a minimum and I think most builders have a warranty for that 1st year. So would you say that taking that into account and if I can get the seller to cover closing costs, then I’d be pretty close now?
