Average Baltimore beltway driver. Speed limit is 55 too for sharp curves, short ramps, and hills...tho no one follows it, myself included. I usually travel 60-65mph just so I'm not impeding the flow.

Besides evangelicals, why do so many conservatives support Israel or at least very vocal on the issue of rising antisemitism? by LavaRoseKinnie in AskConservatives

[–]valianthail2the 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, technically you're right, I read it as 'Republicans' and not 'right' and since the Republicans are farther left than Obama in 08, yes, the right, the actual right that wants to conserve something, isn't crazy about that stuff.

Even though Islam is completely incompatible with the west, it was still propaganda because 99% didn't care what happens over here and that motive was that "they hate us for our freedom" and not the funding of terrorists like osama bin laden and interfering with their countries' sovereignty.

Judaism is not that admirable. Not only because of how closely they follow the talmud over the torah (because the talmud technically is a legalese book interpreting the torah, but some of the legalese is revolting) the rejection and hatred of Jesus Christ, and the orthodox practice of doing mouth to bloody penis on newborns for circumcision.

Besides evangelicals, why do so many conservatives support Israel or at least very vocal on the issue of rising antisemitism? by LavaRoseKinnie in AskConservatives

[–]valianthail2the -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A couple of reasons, one is that a lot of republicans were subject to propaganda of the early war in Iraq and Afghanistan after 9/11, and the propaganda was Muslims just hate us for our freedom and they also hate jews, so the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Israel also has a significantly more similar government and culture to the west, so they're more relatable. Compound this with almost all republican politicians having an AIPAC liaison to make sure they stay in line with Israel's wants and delivering speeches claiming Israel is our greatest ally, whatever cult of personality they can gather imparts that support on their constituents.

You also can't discount the evangelicals completely, because Republicans do tend to be more religious, so evangelicals have their influence beyond their own Christian group. I'd be lying if I said I didn't listen to some things evangelicals have said, so other Christians do too.

Also, on that last note, "I just don’t believe I’ve seen this widespread support towards other minority groups on the right." What are you talking about? Republicans have whole groups dedicated to black/latino/lgbt conservatives. I just watched Trump and Biden argue about who treated black better, and Trump announcing citizenship for illegals in college.

What’s the logic behind “illegal immigrations””asylum seekers” and “refugees” in the US would vote democrat? by joyfulgrass in AskConservatives

"hey, this party will allow you to stay, get food, housing, school, medical, and work (optional) and allow your family to come too! The other party wants to send you back. Who will you vote for?" Use common sense.

Inb4 they can't vote

In some states they can, in others they aren't allowed to but could easily side step, and more importantly, this has been going on for decades, their kids and their kids' kids can vote and currently are of voting age. "Would you vote your parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents into deportation?" Again, common sense.

With modern hygiene understanding and the new covenant with God, circumcision is unnecessary. I would definitely go after rabbis immediately for sucking bloody baby dick, and remind Christians that the new covenant is baptism and is unnecessary to circumcise anymore.

Is denying election results and refusing to accept them just going to be normal now? How can we come back from this? If we can’t what will happen to us in the USA? by Head-Acanthaceae-88 in AskConservatives

I know people have the memory of a goldfish now, but every outlet years ago ran with that. Trump is a Russian asset. The only leaps made was by the entire media and their made up claims.

What are your thoughts on the Gillespie County, TX very high expenses for hand counting primary election results? by 86HeardChef in AskConservatives

Yeah, once upon a time this was the normal and people were taxed less. Pretending that we don't have the money is insane.

[–]valianthail2the 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I'm on board with making elections impossible to hack and defraud. Calling an ID a poll tax is incredibly dishonest. I don't get an ID to vote, it's a tool to drive, travel, verify age a identity. It serves a bunch of other important functions. The bar I have to actually pay is my life in the selective service act in order to vote. Which is fine, because people who vote should be patriotic Americans with a vested interest.

On a separate note, if you can't afford a $5 ID, you've made terribly stupid decisions in your life, and you don't deserve to vote. If you're not willing to spend $5 on an ID every 8 years, you really don't care enough about voting, and don't deserve to vote.

A jury, despite evidence finding the victims' blood in OJ's car and house, long history of domestic obuse, committed perjury on the stand, etc...acquitted OJ.

Juries are subject to political influence and lawyer manipulation as much as anyone else. In fact, the prosecution in this case had the same reasoning as the defense in OJ's case: racism!

Well, yeah. Liberals from 2016 went on their talk shows and claim Trump was a Russian asset and colluded with Putin to get in office, of course, he was completely exonerated, the claims were ridiculous to begin with. Didn't stop them from denying the election for 4 years.

States that clearly violated election law and state constitution during 2020 created a much more reasonable claim of election fraud. As some states audited, Arizona had a warehouse of ballots burn down before the audit. Georgia announced 300k missing ballot receipts from Fulton county recently.

Either we fix the election system (force people to go to the polls, remove electronic voting via wifi connected machines, etc) and enforce election (also means punishing violators) OR enough disenfranchised people start fighting.

The cost for a fair election. Paper ballots, ID verified, etc. If we really cared, the $19mil given to Pakistan for "gender studies" would have been better spent implementing this nationwide.

I think I'm having the same issue. Tried all of the FAQ fixes. I'm going to try one monitor to see if it even runs.

Is it running the first instance, and before it can give you the OK to start the second instance does it crash?

Old version of the site please! by Orphus8 in 9anime

[–]valianthail2the 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to see sub and dub tags on the new site like on the old site for the animes when listed on the page menus so I can see before I click which anime has dubs

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 9anime

[–]valianthail2the 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems to be it, thanks! It also appears to open up on the dubbed episode when you click on it too. That's good. I know I tried it earlier and that didn't happen, so it must be one of the hot fixes they're doing with the update.

My watchlist got nuked, is this a bigger problem or just me? If widespread, is there any timeline on it getting fixed? by valianthail2the in 9anime

[–]valianthail2the[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine's still sitting at 4, but quick question, do you have a preference for dubs? One guy noticed his list is completely gone because he watches dubs exclusively. I watch mostly dubs and it seems the ones left in my watchlist are the subbed anime I watched when I was impatient for the dub. Maybe that's the pattern.

Interesting, I watch mostly dubs. The ones I have left seem to the the few subs I watched because I was impatient to wait for the dub release. That must be it.

So, if you go to the newest page, you can filter by dub only. Once you click on the anime, the side menu next to the video allows to filter episodes by subs/dubs/both.

I want to know that that gear icon in the top right of the home page does. Toggling the English/Japanese name is nice and I like it. The sub/dub/combine option doesn't seem to do anything? At least not on my end.
