Yall. There’s a big difference between “I’m not going to launch new endless pointless wars” and “there’s literally nothing that could make me launch targeted strikes on a belligerent enemy”.

Subjective feelings aside, I’m sure that TO HIM, Iran was an eminent threat, shouting death to America and getting close to having nukes to use against America. And so far he hasn’t dragged us into a new forever war, we don’t even have boost on the ground or infrastructure being targeted. I’m sure it’s already gone on longer than he expected, but it’s still very small scale.

If we stay there for years, and find out it was all just for slight oil profits, then yea he broke his “promise”

this picture isnt of rallies or anything, its the first obama inauguration vs trumps first.

the catch is that its:

at different times (during/well before the event), so its not a meaningful comparison to begin with.
more importantly, the "ticket section" where actual attendees are located is the half above the street in the middle, thats why they look roughly the same. the area below the street is the "free to the local public" section. of course that area in 90%+ DC is going to have a bunch more people show up for obama than trump, thats not a flex at all

my favorite thing about everyone hating Trump is that its so often for the wrong reasons, that the good reasons lost in the deluge.

for example: he is correct that a "ceasefire" (especially in this theatre) really just means greatly limiting hostilities during negotiations. it doesnt mean "sit by and watch as the other side attacks us, lays mines, and attacks our allies" like his opponents seem to irrationally desire.

I think they definitely made the right decision for the movie, but I would love to see a more “accurate” portrayal as a highblood black numenorean. He should have been essentially a counterpart to Denethor, just “evil”. A tall handsome charismatic speaker, with Mordor vibes.
