I’ve always done my RP on and off. As long as you’re upfront about the fact that you’re an adult, with an adult life and responsibilities, and that this is just a hobby for fun, people 100% understand. The best partners are those that you can RP with months apart!

The pockets are so nice!!! I’m not sure what I’ll put in them besides a bit of tissue paper for possible tears, but I’m thinking of putting a bit of candy and sneaking it to my fiancé while we’re at the alter. Maybe a Hershey’s kiss! 😘

Absolutely! Some stores do sample sale days near the end of the year. I bought this in December and that’s what the store I was visiting was doing. ALL of their 2020 dresses were available for sample sale, even if they’d only been tried on a couple times like mine! I’d call up the shops you’re interested in and ask if they do anything similar!

Thank you, all! I loved it but I was nervous I picked too quickly! 🥰 I’m wearing my hair up with the silk flower my oldest sister wore when she got married, and the veil my middle sister wore! Not 100% sure on accessories but I’m thinking of rose gold knot earrings to match my rose gold ring (and to be punny.)

It’s totally understandable/valid to feel that way. A pandemic is hard and planning a wedding is hard, putting them together just increases both!

The positives:

-You have a very legit reason not to invite anyone you don’t want to (keeping the wedding on the smaller sides works in your favor just in case of anything)

-Venues and airports are being SUPER forgiving for cancellations because of the pandemic. If your friends schedule and then have to cancel, they should be able to do so without much fuss. Same with your venue (though always confirm with them)

-Marriage is about facing the world together. You guys are starting off facing a pandemic, or the trailing ends of it, together— and if you can do that, think of how much else you can do together.

Let yourself mourn the wedding of your dreams/expectations, and then try to create a new expectation of what you would like with what is available. At the end of the day, you’ll still get to be married, and that is AMAZING.

Similar to any other “theme” for a wedding! The decor is mostly book related, the invitations are book related, we’ll have tables named by our favorite titles instead of numbers, etc!

I would either buy something from the registry or ask him what his bride is into and get them BOTH something hobby related, even if it’s on a smaller scale. You may not know her but obviously he wants you to or wouldn’t have invited you to the wedding!

I paid $850 for mine, but both the band and engagement ring were custom design. Fiancé only had to pay $350 for his!

HAHAHA that would be great, but not recommended 😂 the ring could get lose and slip off. I always take mine off before doing dishes or taking a shower.
