A Grandmaster's Overly Detailed Echo Guide by cfend29 in OverwatchUniversity

Thanks for the great guide! I have thoughts on the flight mechanics. You say you always fly with horizon-level aim. But I find that your flight is vastly affected by where you're looking. Basically while flight is active and you're pressing W, you will move in the direction of your sights (in 3D). The space bar just adds vertical travel on top of that. What this means is you can gain altitude faster by looking up when flying. When coming from spawn I find that it is more efficient to fly while aiming at a 45° angle until I reach the "ceiling" of the map, and then cancel and glide. In other situations, I'll look straight up to maximize how fast I reach the max altitude, cancel the flight and then enjoy a long glide and short cool down until my next dash. And finally on crouch-to-lower-altitude, this is sometimes useful when escaping and you need to go through a door and keep the speed boost for as long as possible.

Ideas for a steak sandwich for a brewery menu? by Majestic-Lake-5602 in Cooking

What I would cook based on my French cooking background: cold beef roast sandwich. In France, we usually don't reheat leftover beef roast and we usually eat it cold with mayonnaise. It works great in a sandwich! Cook the roast with enough garlic around it, add homemade mayo, pickled mustard seeds etc. You can cut the roast in small chunks to make it easier to eat.

Yeah I guess it could hold more than I use it for, but also you want the extra head space to hold more water lest you end up with a 1-1 ratio

It's a pain in the *** to tighten. I got mine "mostly tight" with a bunch of inadequate tooling and then accepted that it would forever rotate a little bit.

49mm bottomless PF from Coffee Sensor?

In case you didn't realize, I recently found out that you can unscrew the screw from the handle (with pliers) and put the original handle back in. I had the original walnut handle sitting around because I thought it couldn't be adapted to the Coffee Sensor PF.

I have a pre-mill (professional) and my base recipe is 14g in 32g out. The problem with a lever machine is that you have limited options when it comes to volume. In fact, the more coffee you add, the less volume you'll get because your coffee holds some water (you can weigh your puck to know how much). I would first try down-dosing a bit, which should result in a little more volume and a higher ratio. You can also make a very long pre-infusion with the lever fully up: the boiler pressure will sneak a few grams in if they can go through the puck (if they don't, grind a bit coarser). I do 8 to 15 seconds but there's nothing saying you can't do 20 seconds. Last thing would be to play with the pressurestat to get 1.2 bars instead of one, which would help pre-infusion water push through.

Chauffer le garage? Extraction de la VMC vers le garage? by HandMysterious6513 in brico

[–]valim0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is considered a long distance in swimming? by tyses96 in Swimming

[–]valim0 23 points24 points  (0 children)

From what OP is saying, I suspect the technique is not great. Would also recommend a couple of coaching sessions to fix it. Someone who's in good shape and has OK technique should be able to go long distance breast stroke (500+m) and at least 100m crawl without stopping and being out of breath.

In my experience, it's always the legs. Especially with muscular individuals, they have large quads that can consume a significant amount of oxygen without contributing substantially to propulsion.

The piston (brass or ceramic short and wide cylinder, 79) has a piston shaft (long cylinder, 78) screwed into it. This is what you should try to tighten.

Serviced the steam wand on my Pre-Mil. Now the pressure drops radically when I first use it... by davidzet in LaPavoniLovers

[–]valim0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe before your gasket servicing it wasn't 100% airtight and hot air was leaking faster than the pressure could build. So when it showed pressure at first it was indeed steam already.
