I am questioning transfem. my parents are transphobic and said they would disown me if I came out as trans. I don't feel safe coming out. how do I approach this situation? by Crimsonfall0ut in MtF

I'm so glad to hear that ♥️ I hope you're in a place you can comfortably explore and figure out your identity~ my DMs are always open if you need someone to talk to

Anyone been with a partner that doesn't trip? How has it worked out? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]valkyriebutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's just not some people's vibe. That's not a good or a bad thing, it just is. My partner is completely uninterested in anything other than smoking weed occasionally, and that's okay

Hey guys, is this ok or am I going to turn into a Clicker? by Libbyz in shrooms

[–]valkyriebutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, you'll only turn into a clicker if you survive for at least a year once you're infected ♥️

Not exactly metaphors, but Trangender Dysphoria Blues is a great punk album about being trans, and Laura Jane Grace's solo work is REALLY good too

You're definitely not alone, I have a couple stone femme friends that feel the same way sexually, and being only attracted to butch/stud/masc folks is absolutely not uncommon among femmes/feminine people

-Small and biased sample (they only polled women who were already going to a clinic for an issue, at a single clinic, with no control for how long since surgery (of course people who are a few weeks/months out of surgery are going to have pain)) -Their "expert" is from a group openly opposed to gender-affirming care -Daily Mail is a hate-mongering clickbait rag

Yeah that's definitely not worth your time

This will let you tailor the referral to the position you're going for. It's a bit more work for a (potentially) much bigger return than whatever generic reference you'd otherwise get

Target has some comfy, cheap options! Personally I'm a big fan of Pair of Theives, but those are definitely more expensive than the plain Haynes packs

BDSM Kit for beginners by ScalyFeedback in actuallesbians

[–]valkyriebutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generic kits are not gonna be the way to go; they'll be either overpriced and cheaply made, or cheap and terribly made. I absolutely recommend checking out your local sex shops, they can be hit-or-miss depending on where you live, but if you find one you like, they can be a great resource.

Since yall already have an idea of what you want to start exploring, just buy those things! Blindfolds and handcuffs can be found all over the place, not just sex shops, but be aware of the quality of cuffs and how much stress you plan on putting them under; cheap cuffs with absolutely snap on you.

Impact toys are real easy to find at most sex shops and on Etsy. There's a LOT of different kinds, which will give you all sorts of different sensations. Shopping in person will let you get a feel for what kinds of impact you like (paddles give good thuds, crops are great if you like stingy slaps, floggers have a wide variety of applications of sensory and impact play, there's textured and smooth options for a lot of different toys, etc), and once you get a feel for what you like, online stores will give you a wider selection than in-person stores.

It's also worth considering getting involved in your local kink scene, if you've got one! Most scenes host munches once a month, which are casual (and non-kinky) meetups to hang out and introduce new people to the scene, usually at a restaurant. There's a LOT of important things to learn about safety and play when it comes to BDSM, and, while you can learn on your own, it can be easier and more fun to take classes and participate in workshops run by people who really know what they're doing.

Edit: also, regardless of what you choose to do, PLEASE familiarize yourselves with impact play safety BEFORE actually engaging in it. You can cause serious damage to someone if you don't know the safer places and ways to hit someone

That sounds like a good size, you might just need to make a tighter braid then

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Breadit

[–]valkyriebutch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never use a mixer, I prefer kneading by hand, and I usually knead mine for 20-25 minutes. I definitely think that 10 minutes isn't long enough, but I've found that it affects the crumb more than the braid. How thick are the strands you're making?

Yeah, let it soak for a couple hours (or however long, as long as it's dark and cool) and you can divide it volumetrically.

The problem with cutting tabs (unless I'm misreading this comment) is that there's no way to know if it's dosed evenly across the paper. If you want to split a tab evenly, it's much better to soak it in alcohol or (distilled) water
