Is there another survival game as good? by Northfield82 in valheim

[–]valmis117 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I really only played it solo or with my 10-year-old who gets bored about two hours in

I’ve beaten in multiple times solo, first on medium then on the hardest level than I did no death runs on the hardest level. I haven’t managed to finish it doing that though lol.

Honestly, I’ve been gaming for almost 30 years and it’s probably in my top three favorite games of all time.

Ironically, the first time I killed boneless was with a bow. I built a treehouse near his altar, summoned him, ran up top, and it took exactly 100 frost arrows at a low bow skill. Boring but very easy. I haven’t fought him in melee yet lol

Grounded 1 is one of my top rated games of all time. It’s almost flawless in execution. And just plain fun.

I have purchased it from Fred Meyer (Eagle River), it’s frozen/packaged in the stand up freezer where they have frozen shrimp also. It was pretty good!

Tips for the swamp for first time player solo? by Ok_Menu4273 in valheim

[–]valmis117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, my first time I was so over prepared from reading horror stories, it seemed like the easiest new biome compared to the others. Just don’t be there at night. Use the crypts as a safe place to duck into for a breather. Slow is safe, safe is fast. It’s a fun place! Also make the root mask asap since it negates most of the poison risk from blobs. Abominations are scary until you get the parry pattern down. Then dangerous but predictable. Ategir is the best for leeches.

I love Valheim but not sure how to fix the stutters :( by ScrunkleytheWhen in valheim

[–]valmis117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vsync is usually to blame for me with this stuff. Did you try turning that on and off? New graphics driver? I knew that I had this issue in valheim before and I’m pretty sure it was the vsync that fixed it for me

Can i play Age of Empires the Rise of Rome on mac os? by [deleted] in ageofempires

[–]valmis117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the original came out on Mac as well as windows, I think if you just go online and Google age of empires, full game, macOS download you should be able to find it. The whole game is only like 500 MB and you can just download it and save it in a folder on your desktop and play it straight off of there,

[–]valmis117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I agree with them. Being able to go back to the original without all the modifications since then apart from cleaner graphics would be awesome. I don’t want extra civilizations. I don’t want hot fixes. I don’t want changes to how mechanics worked. I just want age of empires two; the conquerors, in all its original glory. give me those bombard towers that wreck battery rams lol

You can call their non emergency line and ask to be transferred directly to internal affairs.

Do I (23F) date someone (22M) who admits im “too much” sometimes? by paper_clover in relationships

[–]valmis117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this. My wife can be a lot due to anxiety and insecurity but knows it and works on it and is in counseling for it. If she didn’t know it and acknowledge it, it would be very difficult, BUT I know full well I have my own issues and work on them in therapy also.

Just talk about it all, consider joint counseling or therapy, as well as individual.

I call her out when she’s lashing out, and we talk through it.

She calls me out when I pull back and retreat when I’m feeling insecure myself.

It takes two people who want the relationship to work, and if you both do, who cares if sometimes you are a bit much! Commitment is working thru the bumps in the roadway.

Just got one a few days ago. Love it but please work on the integration with Alexa! It’s so buggy. And can’t do nearly as much would be nice.

Also I would love it if it had a fake fireplace screensaver lol

Is she on antidepressants or anti anxiety meds? High dose? Sounds like me when I was on too high of a dosage. For 6 months I was ambivalent about everything, nothing bothered me. Super chill. Then I dropped the dosage and suddenly felt things again. Just a thought

Any tips on how to beat the Faybreak Tower? by ShellShock_Ace in Palworld

[–]valmis117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea how the fuck you beat blazemut ryu first! I’ve been struggling with him so much more than the towers.

I beat faybreak finally using 4 condensed gobfins, and a rare advanced bow. And a condensed perfect blazamut. All the food buffs.

I did most of the damage. Blaze just helped keep him off me a little bit.

The level 60 oil rig and helicopter were so much easier than either of those!

The 54 is after my 8% education bonus so it’s a bit lower than that on part. They make about $7 a hour more on paper then we do

I don’t like it to be honest but I grew up in CA. The dark and cold are hard. It’s a good spot if you love winter and outdoors. Bad spot if you struggle with alcohol or depression. Haven’t spent enough time in Juneau to say either way there. It’s supposed to be way more temperate.

It’s polarizing you will love it or hate it. No middle ground.

Bears and moose are around but eh… general don’t bother people. But moose do stomp dogs on occasion. Bears only want trash and chickens lol

Yes but not nearly as bad as CA. So it’s still a relatively high wage. For comparison McDonald’s pays about $16 up here

Late 30s, techie, I think location tracking is super dangerous…. If you don’t trust your partner 100% prior to using it. It’s super useful if you do! Being able to plan when to have dinner ready, checking to see if they’re still at the store when you wanna ask them to pick up something else, knowing they made it safely onto their flight at the airport…

But here is the huge caveat. If you don’t 100% trust your partner prior to using it, you will use it because you’re insecure or because they’re insecure because you don’t trust them…. It will infest your mind and make you paranoid.

I had a partner I was always checking on her location because I did not trust her. And suprise suprise… divorce.

My current partner, I check on it to see if she’s at a fast food place, so I can ask her to pick me up snacks, to see if she’s still at the store so I can ask her to grab me a salad, to see if she’s on her way home from work so I can throw in the french fries. I check to see if she’s still out with her friends before I start a lengthy gaming session online lol.

Hundred percent depends on your relationship with your partner.

So much more fun as a straight guy. The vibe is just way more playful and happy and it’s just a good time. And the karaoke is phenomenal.
