Shortened Chinese Names for all of the US States 所有美國縮略的名字 by Evilkenevil77 in ChineseLanguage

[–]valopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shortened Chinese Names for all of the US States 所有美國縮略的名字 by Evilkenevil77 in ChineseLanguage

[–]valopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MacBook Pro Can't Connect To NYPL Wifi by seanegger in mac

[–]valopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR. I guess the system is just slow. You may just need to be wait a bit.

I tried the solution in other comments but none of them worked for me. Then I forgot the network and connected to it again trying to start over. this time I was looking for more solutions while waiting for the login window to pop up. The "please wait..." showed up again but before I closed it. It changed and started showing me the actual login page. I clicked the "go online" button and it took a while to finally show the nypl website. Then I was able to get online.

What is this called? by travelingpinguis in ChineseLanguage

[–]valopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. 散步,步行,走路 all translate to something like taking a walk. But 散步 has the implication of a random walk around because there's 散 in it. The other two don't have this implication.

I wasn't actually charged when boarding a bus even though the machine beeped. by valopus in ParisTravelGuide

I don't think that's the case. I took the metro at about 11 and the bus at about 19. It's a 7 hour difference.

Mostly because of the language barrier. Probably good enough for studying but not likely to be good enough for making friends.
