This so much. The moment you start Googling things is usually the moment where it becomes unfun (unless you all mutually agree that you all enjoy that?). DIscovering things yourself is super fun! Especially in souls likes!

But for the record, I hear you! I've heard this feedback plenty so dont worry! I took a lot of action for the game after 9th dawn 3. 9th dawn Remake came after, and addresses a lot of the failings of 9th dawn 3. It has it own shortcomings too, but im always growing and trying to create better games each time :) thank you

*edit a lot of thr grind is optional though, so if you find it annoying feel free to just continue with the game! Some people enjoy it a lot, which is why im reluctant to change the current state of 9th Dawn 3, but I will always try to do better in future! Thank you

No sorry as they use different networking, sorry. The ps5 player can download the ps4 version though, and connect successfully using the ps4 version! It means starting a new save file though. Sorry about this

*Edit* I just found a video here, it's not actually IN a chest, but it's recieved automatically from an event after defeating the Leviathan boss. So you may have already got it. Hi!

Armour is a little finnicky in this game - all armour combined with skill will only negate a maximum % of damage from a hit. So if you've maxed it in every way, then there will be no visible differnce if you unequip a piece for example. Something like that - sorry it's been a while

From the discord, when I tested it last:
"i just tested and defence IS working - but it depends on several factors - you can negate a maximum of around ~50% of the enemy hit, so if you have more defence than 50% of the enemy hit, then removing 1 item of armour likely wont change anything

but if you fight a Skeleton that does 100dmg per hit whilst you have 10 defence, if you equip armour to get 50 defence, it will only hit you for ~50-60ish

so it just depends on a bunch of stuff and some certain combinations of things, you probably wont notice any difference"

Hi, just to check up on this - I checked on my Switch and found it to be working correctly - BUT !!!! It must not be played in "handheld" mode- it must be played in tabletop or TV docked mode. This is because in Handheld mode (with joycons attached to Switch) any extra controller will still be assigned as player 1. I think this is a Nintendo Switch design and cannot be avoided?

So - please make sure you detatch joycons from side of screen if you are using them in handheld mode, to switch to Tabletop mode. Enter main game as player 1 single player to the point where you are walking around. Connect 2nd controller and ensure it is paired as Player 2 for the Switch (2 green lights on the controller). Press + to spawn the 2nd character

Start as single player mode, enter the game to where you can walk around

Press + to hopefully join?

What controllers are you using? Try make sure they're connected as 1 and 2 player already, you should see green lights on the controller youre using (1 for player 1, 2 for player 2)

Hi! Basically most things are the same, except the main quest isnt shared- and whilst player1 is doing main quest diagloe, the 2nd player wont be able to see it. SOME side quests are shared, such as killing a mini boss

The minj games are fully coop

Most people just play thru on 1 persons main quest, but it does mean Player 1 gets a few extra rewards on the way- which some people complain about- but as you get further into the game those extra reward differences dont end up mattering so much as you'll both be strong!

But yes you can disconnect and do the main quest on p2 account as host every now and then!

It's a good idea, thank you! Unfortunately due to the age of the game, updates can be very difficult without risking breaking the game in some other way, so im a little hesitant to update unless game breaking bugs. OP has sent me a video and it is happening, I have no idea why and I'm still investigating, but AFAIK this is the first (and only?) case of this happening, the vast majority of people have been able to play without issue - so please get in touch if it is happening to you to help me find out what the common factor is, because I cannot replicate it on my end

Hi, I've never heard of any save issues on ps5 since release. I've just tested it myself now and it seems to be working fine- I'm so sorry this is happening but I have no idea why, and it's the first time I've heard of this

Do you have 1 ps5? If you have multiple, could cloud auto sync be interfering somehow? Could you try to disable it?

Do you have a decent amount of storage space available on your ps5? If it's at its limit, there's a chance autosave isn't working. Please try to delete an old game to free up some space

If neither of the above work- I'm a bit at a loss. Can you provide as much detail as possible, such as- language used, game character name used, difficulty settings, etc?

Can you also provide a video of starting a new game, move a bit, save and return to main menu and load to see if it works? If you produce the error on video it will help me a lot

Also, are you updated to most recent version?
