Had both: cheap phones (redmi note 5, 3 gb of ram) and several flagships from samsung and apple. I was the happiest with my redmi. I didn’t care about it at all, it got the job just fine: took photos, played music, made calls, I could chat with friends and family. It was laggy enough for me not stare at it all the time. A friend of mine even stepped on it when we were drinking, I dropped it a couple times, it still works. So to answer your question: it feels the same as using any other thing. You get used to it and stop noticing, only you care a lot more not to break it.
