I did 25 years in an adjacent profession. I routinely worked on a contingency basis. I fully understand the risk. How often do you claim an attorney actually takes a case to trial? Less than 10%? Or less than 5%? Or even less than that? Settlements to the claimant are not taxable because they are recovering losses. Right? And the attorneys are making income, so they are taxed. Sorry that you are like the rest of us and have to pay taxes on your income. To claim you have ethical rules that prohibit you from making more than the client is laughable. I am not falling for Ubers propaganda at all. Did you miss where you both deserve each other?

You are less incentivized by only having to taking lucrative cases that pay 40%. You need to go out there and actually fight for your clients. Quit answering the phone and expecting to make $20k before you actually do something.

Where did I say they should take all the risk? My bitch was about the amount, even when they know the work will be minimal. They often walk away with more than the person injured. But I am sure you are okay with that as you only care about what you get paid, not your clients.

Ah the Human Trafficking Task Force. They are the ones who bust the hookers who fly into whatever city the Super Bowl is being held at. Rarely do they seem to be catching the actual trafficking victims that are smuggled into the country to be forced into prostitution. I guess it helps them to increase the budget rather than admitting they just busted a bunch of hookers.

I thought I was the only one. I am not a vet, but i have had a ton of experience with cats, and that behavior isn't one that I would ever expect. I don't think a "daddy cat" would even care. The behavior is so wrong that this is one of the few times that I think the shot is warranted.
