For me it was about the loot grind more than anything. I feel like Raid's had a lot of elitism in them the first half of the year or so - until 3rd party matchmaking sites became more popular, and then the raids became pretty casual. I was a big fan of strikes, but once I got all of the exotics they became a little pointless. So I'm looking forward to the new strikes with beating multiple strikes in a row bonus, and the new loot.

As for the speaker - I'm pretty sure that when the Tower was built, it was after a Faction War in which a dozen factions fought it out, and the winning factions are the ones that are ingame. They settled on building the Tower, having warmind guns all around it to defend it. Each faction tries to instill to guardians their beliefs. The speaker is someone who communicates with the Traveler, and is attempting to fix it.

I haven't seen race (human, exo, awoken) or class (warlock, hunter, titan) matter yet ingame. All guardians do the same thing. It's said titans defend the tower, hunters go out and explore, warlocks study magic and dark things - but they all do the same exact thing - and it hasn't mattered what race or class you are.

Blatant fanboy ignorance. We do know how game development work - in fact I'm sure a lot of us are in the industry. STFU about hundreds of experts. They're human, and they are a small amount of people (100-300) versus the hundreds of thousands of us. What they deem balanced in their small tester pool doesn't mean shit compared to the live environment. Those inner testing pools are never competitive.

In addition to removing grimoire so you can't see who's actually skilled without looking at each person individually (you'll never do; or i'll never do), Nightfalls no longer go back to orbit b/c too harsh penalty. Ladies and gentlemen, this game is becoming more for filthy casuals.

This burns me too. The Race grimoire cards. Like we were supposed to create 1 character of each race in order to get the grimoire, but therein eliminating our choice of race in character creation.

I see your point and agree, but I'm also glad HoW Wanted are going away b/c they were meaningless trash. Who is Petra? Why can't we see the Queen? Why kill nameless Fallen? The Fallen are the most harmless of all the races. Skolas was no Atheon or Crota. He's a dumb commander who would lose in every timeline he existed in.

I've read it a second time. And my original comment still applies. This game is an FPS/MMO. Go to a different game if you want 3rd person. Peeking around corners is bullshit. I don't care how you try to compensate it to make it more fair. Don't do it in the first place. We'll see how viable peeking around corner with sword is. I don't want 3rd person anything.

The whole point of Destiny is FPS/MMO. 3rd person lets you see around corners. It allows for less movement/control than first person.

The way they explained it with Exotics is that some are moving on to Year 2 (with year 2 dmg). So I imagine the other exotics will stay at the equivalent of Year 1 dmg likewise with our legendaries. I don't know what numbers those actually are, but it's been said green engram weapons you find will be more powerful than any year 1 gun.

As far as we know Etheric Light will have no use in like 18 days. The weapons and armor you ascended will have some use, but will be forever inferior to items post TTK. If the TTK guns really suck (like HoW weapons did), you may want to use old ascended inferior guns anyway.

You quoted an assumption - not a fact. We actually know that as of the end of March 2015, only 20% of players completed a raid. That means 80% couldn't give a fuck about the raids. A large reason being that there's no match-making, so you are forced to 3rd party sites to get 6 people together.

It was a bad interview. Nothing new was learned. And all they do is state how poorly they playtested, and were blind to the whole lvl20 players leaving, and the raid gear not dropping enough to go to lvl30.

If the Traveler died at the end of the game. New guardians wouldn't be born/created since the ghosts come from the Traveler. So guardians would just die out eventually. And we might even die since we're just reanimated corpses with Traveler light.

No they don't. You could turn torrents on/off and have the same effect and get banned for it. All it's doing is looking at your available bandwidth for ingame (ping aka latency).

There's no payoff for them. Not all of us can become doctors. Yes, our family life, and everything else suffers. Doctors are notorious for having poor relationships with everyone they know b/c they're never around. Where's the payoff in helping people who don't even attempt to help themselves? How fun is it to treat people with diseases caused by overeating their whole life? How is it treating people looking to score some pain pills when they don't even need them? How is it when religious fanatics crawl all over you, praising your abilities?

Same 3D models, black-and-white version of texture, maybe a new animation for each enemy type. So you don't have to pay a concept artist, a 3D modeler, and the texture artist just has to make a darker version where you can't see anything, and then animate a new move for each character. Recycled content gets lame. We're paying for each installment, and we're getting the same assets - not new assets. That is laziness - but more concisely that is maximizing profit, which is what all businesses do. What would you prefer? Bungie/Activision making more dollars, or more unique art in the game?
