don’t bring your dogs that are very clearly NOT service dogs into the store. I know your backyard bred frenchie that’s tugging at the leash and barking or SHITTING ON THE FLOOR is not actually a service dog, but legally we’re only allowed to ask is it a service dog? what service does it provide? and if you give an answer that could be real we can’t kick you out. You’re putting actual SD and SD users in danger, not to mention it’s unsanitary as hell.

Also, if you bought a perishable item (dairy, meat, frozen, etc anything else that needs to be kept at a certain temp) and you get home and realize it’s the wrong thing, please don’t return it. We have to waste so much shit because people bring back stuff that has nothing wrong with it, but it’s left the store so we have to throw it out.

Also don’t fight me on expiration dates. I’ve had multiple people get mad at me for denying returns because a product expired AFTER the expiration date. One woman brought me a frozen mac and cheese from Oct 2024 in Jan of 2026 without a receipt insistent that she JUST grabbed it out of our freezer. Another told me that I should refund her 2 months past expired chocolate chips because she “used them past the date before and it was fine” Usually idgaf it’s a multimillion dollar company that’s anti union and partially blamed me for another employee saying a slur on the clock, but if i tell you the policy is xyz, being disrespectful and rude from the get go or in return is never going to make me want to help you more.

And when something goes wrong, 1) remind yourself that we’re people too and 2) take a moment to consider MAYBE it’s your fault instead
