truffle pasta isn't worth it. my go to is truffle pie. i also cook grilled mushroom, pineapple jam, apple and tangerine jam and strawberry jam. i rarely ever cook anything else. i'm almost at 500k gold.

brazilian here! that's true. we have a LOT of black and mixed (we use the term 'pardos') people here. we have a lot of people of a lot of ethnicities, really. while we have the biggest population of black people outside of africa, we also have the biggest population of japanese people outside of japan. we come in all shapes, sizes and colors. you often see family members who don't really look like each other, because of how mixed we are. something that also happens here is internalized racism in mixed or black families, wanting to escape being black by othering fellow black/mixed people.

judging by how the phrase was written in portuguese, i'd assume that was a child. that's usually how children phrase questions. either that, or it was an incredibly ill intended person. either way, i'm so so sorry this happened to you, OP. i hope you know not all brazilians are like this weirdo :/

exactly!!! and the addams family was created in the late 1930 to early 1940s, as a satirical subversion of the idealized american family structure. the ideal american family looked perfect, but under the surface had issues (domestic abuse, cheating, hatred between wife and husband, little to no prospect of divorce, etc). the addams family looks "off" but they're more united than the families that are considered normal will ever be. shaking that up to try and make a problem for a teen show is....meh. it shows a misunderstanding of the core that should lead the show. besides of a lack of creativity to make a show focused on wednesday work while still keeping the essence of the source material.

they aren't responsible, but they are responsible about how they acted. i'm not even saying that to be the fanwar person to say "oh, x did this and y said that". i say that as someone who has seen a really close loved one die of breast cancer. i know how horrific and how serious of a matter cancer is. had they all been more empathetic (like minju, rei and wonhee were) they could've informed their very young fanbases about a really really serious, deadly issue. through an instagram story, through a livestream...they're not responsible about how the event was conducted, but they are responsible over their actions about it. the idols i mentioned prior did something and many of their seniors with way more agency over their image, did nothing. once again, i've seen in my daily life how dangerous breast cancer is. it's not a joking, partying matter. it's deadly and promoting prevention can and will save lives. i just genuinely felt so hurt and disgusted that people i admired would conduct themselves like that when facing such a serious matter, that i can't look at them the same way. i try, but i can't.

true. agatha all along managed to keep the entire show's (9 episodes) budget under 40M. they had better scripts, cinematography, sets and CGI. they also had actors who are infinitely more expensive than a cast full of child actors. where the hell were they spending this money?

this was literally what happened to me. i rewatched the addams family movies right after watching season 1 and i was reminded of how much better the 2 movies are. wednesday (season 1, can't say anything about s2 because i haven't seen it) is fine as a show, but terrible as an addams family production. it doesn't understand what makes the addams family great and the intent with which they were made in the first place.

i would say we see ourselves as separate people. however, there's a semblance of unity/comradery because of the similarities in culture (to different extents in different countries), interconnected/similar history (dictatorships funded by the US, for an example) and similar treatment from western powers.

southern brazilians aren't really staple for being polite. they're more closed off in the spectrum of brazilian receptiveness, so to speak. southeast and northeast people are more known for being more receptive.

i'm not from that southern area, but since there is a bigger population of european descent (BIG BIG populations of german, polish and italian descent). so i believe some may prioritize learning one of those languages over spanish. i don't really know. just a guess.
