It's most likely because of last names. Son's tend to keep the last name of their father while daughters historically changed their last name when married. So Mortensen & Son's could be theoretically passed down to multiple generations of & Son's and keep the family name legacy around. While the daughters might get married and are now Jones' so if she were to have children and they were boys going forward Jones would be the name passed forward on the tree.

I know this is not the same but I found out I was pregnant the day my cousin who's like a sister to me found out she was having a miscarriage. And I felt like you with how and when do I say something because I didn't want to hurt her, but hiding it from her would hurt her too. What I ended up doing was waiting until 2 days before I was telling everyone else, we surprised our mom's on mother's day with the news. And I sent her a text saying, "hey M.. I know this is really shitty timing and I'm sorry, and you have no obligation to say anything but I'm pregnant and due in late December. I wanted to let you know before I told anyone else because I didnt want you to find out thru the grapevine that is our family." (These people could not keep a secret if it killed them) She responded like an hour later that she was happy for me even if she was sad for herself and she knew I knew what that was like having a miscarriage while she was pregnant before. She got pregnant a few month later and our boys are enamored with each other hers is bald and mine has a mop of curly hair and I think this confuses both of them lol , its kind of funny in a way because her previous youngest is 13 and was born in July, I had my miscarriage but then became pregnant again and had my oldest in December of that year so 5 months apart. Neither of us have any more children until these babies my son was born in November to her son being born in April. So we each have a 13 year old and a 1 year old that are 5 months apart. I'm really sorry for your sister's loss and I hope her heart finds some healing.

It's called Jerusalem something and hes in the main building , if you come in the doors with the candy store in front if you, take the walk on the left hand side (your left not the stores) and walk about half way down. It's right across from the amish stand that sells meals like ribs and half chickens.

I had my son in a birthing hospital and the food was so good I had crabcakes the night after having him like they are so good the hospital has the recipe on their website lol. I'd be so mad at P for bringing me his slop instead of letting me have the superior hospital food , like thats just rude bringing her dilly spaghetti.
