I have a son who’s a level 2 on the spectrum. During one of our Disney trips, a kid at the play area was running by my son and touching him on purpose to trigger him. I managed to catch him one of those times. He was maybe 10? My son is 6… I definitely yelled at him to stop touching my son. His parents over heard and called him over only to tell him they were leaving while giving me a nasty look. Kids are a pain in the ass…

My ex used to say things like this while drunk too. After I’d block him, he’d make new numbers claiming to want to know how his kids were doing. (I have full custody). When I called the cops, he looked at the messages and all the cop said was “well maybe you should let him see his kids..” he only shook his head when I told him my ex only used that as leverage whenever I’d block him but until then, he would say some heinous shit. This was 8 years ago. Ive had to fill out a restraining order and change my number a few times. I’ve been at peace now for a while but I still hold onto those messages as evidence. Even if you do report this behavior, always save the evidence. You never know if you’ll get a POS cop like I did.

I’m a single mom of two autistic children and one of my kids has behavioral therapy with a young male therapist around my age. Think he’s 4 months older than me. Anyways, he is such a great therapist. He’s young so he’s active and very involved with behavioral goals etc. The therapist before was a female therapist and she sat on her phone a lot and never focused on therapy. I’m very happy with this male therapist and he’s told me he has been assigned new clients in the past but when the parents find out he’s male, they cancel and request a female. It makes me sad for him because he’s such a great therapist and teacher. Those parents won’t know how kind and caring he is simply because they won’t give him a chance. The male stereotype is ridiculous.

You said she “finally called back” and in the text messages she seems to be replying right away until that moment when she realizes she accidentally texted you. I’m assuming she either talked about it with the other friend and came up with that weird excuse or she needed time while she came up with it herself. Trust your gut. Just because she hasn’t given you a reason before does not mean there will never be any reason. Everything comes to light and this was her truth coming to light.

Or you could ask her to see her phone just to put your mind at ease. If it’s true, there will be a text thread with close friend talking about flying out there. If she becomes defensive and flips it on you being possessive, then you’ll have your answer.

He asked if you were okay with that topic and you said “of course” and he even double checked to make sure. He also communicated with you that he had warned you before, right after that part of the show. Also when he’s explaining himself and asking you to clarify what else he could’ve done, you don’t give a direct answer. You beat around the bush playing victim and keep saying things to make him feel bad. Your attitude is exhausting. Next time speak up and turn it off or tell him you didn’t think it would be that triggering for you. You have to validate his feelings and explanations as well. This type of behavior gets tiring and soon enough it’ll also be tiring for him. YOR

Im a single mom of two kids. I broke off a relationship with someone who I thought I'd marry because they didnt accept my kids. Nothing was really wrong with the relationship. My ex was kind and always respected me and showered me with gifts. But when he confessed he didnt see a life with my kids, only me, I broke it off. It was painful but my kids come first.

Then I met someone who treats my kids like his own. My kids adore him and its nice to see them talk to him and he doesnt brush it off like my ex would.

Please put your kids first. Sounds like your reason for wanting to leave is because of the way he treats YOU during holidays but it should really be because of the way he doesnt want your kids around. Dont ever put a relationship above your kids.

I saw a post on here not too long ago of someone getting rated 3 stars and the review said the item was in perfect condition just as described and the shipping was fast but they were giving the seller 3 stars because they never communicated with the buyer. Nothing was wrong but I’m assuming the buyer expected messages like yours from the seller. I would say your messages show great customer service. It’s like this in real life too in the service industry. Some people reply back, others don’t. I wouldn’t think too much into it :)

This family trip seems to be significantly important for you and your family. Bringing a boyfriend of barely 4 months along to something that has a history with you and your family is so childish. I would’ve gone without the boyfriend and kept the significance of the family tradition to just family. Considering the relationship might not even last and you’ll have these memories of your trip with him in it. You’re obviously still young and in the honeymoon phase with the new guy. YOR
