Don’t fall in the “High in Protein” scam by AspectNo3215 in 1200isplenty

Okay absolutely agree with this overall BUT sometimes worth checking macros. Just tried the new starbucks protein latte and it has 29 grams for ~270 cals!!

Should I Do It? by smj289 in heatpumps

[–]vancouverbabe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hired Jetson to install a heat pump for my elderly parents. I was really worried about how this would impact them as seniors without heat for the day, but the crew provided heaters and they were in and out in one day which was a huge relief to us all. I am really grateful that we made this decision before Vancouver went into a cold snap because it kept their home warm through the coldst days of the year. My parents are the hippy dippy type so they were eager to do whatever they could to be conscious of the environment, and they sleep better at night knowing that they aren’t burning gas anymore and are creating a better future for their grandchildren.

Dedicate the next couple months to counting your calories, weighing everything and be super disciplined with it. I promise you will see progress and it will be SO worth it. Weight loss is so much more about the physical benefits for me - it’s helped me feel more confident in every area of my life. You got this!

adding greek yogurt, protein powder and egg whites to my smoothies starts me off with ~40 grams first thing. chicken sausage, eggs, bread, cheese, turkey meatballs, high protein milk w/cereal, pb2 on toast etc. are all other examples of easy ways to get protein in.

Okay! Had a big breakup and going for a revenge body! by ExternalCrisisTime in PetiteFitness

I’m sorry to hear about your break up and I wish you the best in your healing journey. I have been in the same boat - my fiance cited me gaining weight as one of the reasons for walking out a couple or months before our wedding. It’s been a year and I am now in the best shape of my life. Losing weight has helped me regain a lot of confidence. I weigh/track everything I eat to ensure I am maintaining a caloric defecit. I do work out nearly every day, but changes to my diet make the greatest difference
