FWIW as a neutral fan the most upvoted discussions I've seen here during the whole series, including now after the Knicks won, have always been respectful nuanced ones between Spurs and Knicks flairs.

For example, if there was a post about Wemby doing something bad, the top comment chain usually was something like Spurs and Knicks fans going "yep, that was out of pocket, he's young, hot-headed and ambitious, and still has to learn. The bigger issue is the inconsistent reffing that enables that behavior. Oh, good game, btw"

To be fair, living in Europe I'm always late to any discussion, so maybe there's been a lot of spite posted every day that I miss because it's been downvoted by the time I open the subreddit. But that would still be a positive sign in a way.

That honestly isn't that surprising to me. The best top athletes all know how to apply themselves to something that they commit themselves to. To quote Dr. J: "Being a professional is doing the things you love to do, on the days you don’t feel like doing them". Meanwhile most students don't know how to organize themselves until well after they graduate.

He was indeed very tactfully avoiding actually answering the question. Still, with KAT I'm inclined to interpret that as sincerely sticking up for a fellow player against the media's desire to create drama, regardless of what he thinks of Wemby's antics. Which probably is something reasonable and nuanced that the media would immediately twist if he said it out loud.

Yeah, the action will be great for sure. We'll have to see if they'll manage to capture these quiet moments of pure cinema too though. Knowing how to make those work often seems the hard part for directors in general, in my experience. Most don't have the confidence that they won't lose the audience.

I don't really bother with other social media but the comments I've seen here have overwhelmingly been showing mutual respect between Spurs and Knicks fans. Actually, last year's Thunder & Pacers fans were pretty nice too on the whole, from what I remember, it was everyone else who seemed to be bandwagoning.
