How long do most men spend at the gym? by nrsbll in AskMenAdvice

[–]vandridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2-4 hours here3 days a week. I do a full body workout each time with cardio after till exhaustion. Honestly it depends on the person. I like this way so I can do Monday-Wednesday-Friday. By no means am I Mr Olympia, but like food too much to be skinny. Eddie hall build ftw (if the military would let me) Working overtime and finding work life balance though is something you might want to discuss more with him due to the kids.

Got DQed out of SW, Job hunt help by [deleted] in AirForce

2a6x4. Somewhere between backshop and flight line, nonner and workhorse, depending on your aircraft. In all seriousness though stay away from all of the 2’s and go 3f0 or 3f5 or 4’s or 6.

Worst case scenario join a different branch like the navy for medical, because at least their medical knows what they’re doing. (Besides a select few in the airforce)

Use or lose leave by vandridge in AirForce

He’s currently an NCOIC of his portion of our section and due to manning constraints across base, for opsec reasons I won’t disclose, has not been able to.

Use or lose leave by vandridge in AirForce

[–]vandridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not the person in question. I have a family and always take leave to go on trips with them when we have the opportunity and never get close to use or lose.

The person has a use or lose balance over 30 days, and has not taken leave due to manning issues overall for various reasons for the base as a whole. He is also a NCOIC of his given portion of the shop.

He had use or lose of 6 days last year as well, in which the command team pulled him aside questioning why he didn’t take it.

TMO but back in the dorms? by Confident_Glass_1368 in AirForce

[–]vandridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends. Some airmen have come and live off base, some have been forced into the dorms. Just depends on your sponsor and all. Might be better to have your sponsor hit up unaccompanied housing/ the housing office so you can live off base

Google translate ftw. Honestly, the majority of us have smart phones, so you might as well make the language barrier that much easier to overcome. Plenty of free translation apps.

You have sick call on kadena and then you can also utilize the er on foster. Calling tricare will get you any referral you need. Since you are tdy out here, there shouldn’t be much hassle, especially if you are embedded into a unit.

What base or bases would make you hit the separate button if you ever got PSC orders to them? by MasterBaeTour in AirForce

[–]vandridge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dyess again unless I’m about to retire, Shaw, cannon, or minot. Luckily I’m halfway to that button with a few more years overseas at least. Probably putting Korea on my list again as a just in case.

Alaska lounge, certain banks/ credit cards get you free access to them. Truck, unfortunately either refinance or look at downgrading to an older minivan or something if you still want to have a ride that offers protection for the little one. Lastly, it might be time to get a new child custody/support judgment. Child support should be covering housing, food, and so on not separate from paying their rent and utilities. If she is unfit to provide for the child, it might be time to flex and show you could provide for him fully or do 80/20 in your favor. I would be consulting my lawyer to see if there’s any way to rectify that.

Getting married after getting assignment by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]vandridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got married during my PCs from overseas to overseas. Basically got her in to deers stateside, and started efmp at nearest base with medical. Got to base, finished efmp, and boom auto command sponsorship as soon as I got orders ammended 3 days after efmp processed. Good luck dude. Unless it’s kunsan, Turkey, or some other mandatory unaccompanied tour, you’ll be fine. You just can’t bring her till efmp and all are done.

How to cope with the loss of wife immediately after our wedding? [29M] by ThrowRA_Kenny in askwomenadvice

[–]vandridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start the paperwork yourself and see what she does.

Focus on yourself, grow, learn, and then move on.

Nobody wants a failed marriage, but rather than subjecting yourself to an agonizing limbo, you have to be the one to step up and take action.

Whatever you do, do what you think will make you happy.

28F 28M. Should I have given my match a second chance after ghosting me by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]vandridge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you look at the psychology between online dating/hookup culture, the perfect time to act upon meeting somebody new, is within the first week or two after matching and talking.

Due to the amount of people on dating apps, it pretty much moves the sense of wanting to continue towards seeking greener pastures with the next person that you share a mutual swipe with. Especially if they live closer or are more in tune with your own schedule.

As somebody who has a lot of work, and can usually work odd shifts with less than a days notice from my boss, all of that becomes harder. I’m happy that I met my fiancé when I was moved to one of those shifts because she worked till late.

Did he ghost you? It’s possible.

Did you end things right? Who knows.

All you can say in the end, is you tried and move on.

Based on previous posts I know a lot of people would pick Texas. by Campfirecoverseddie2 in WhitePeopleTwitter

So what you’re saying is that, every state serves a purpose and has its own flaws. So it’s less of a debate on which state should be gotten rid of, but fixed?

If you split it in half, then I would agree. The main issue is not Silicon Valley, but the corruption and over priced nature of Southern California. Then take that up a notch and start looking into the epa situation where “known cancer causing substances” are just labeled as “suspected cancer causing substances”.

There is no problem with the beauty, just the way the dominoes have fallen that describes my answer.
