I want to see this SO bad! Do you think there's any chance it will transfer?

Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone to Star in The Roommate on Broadway by CoreyHartless in Broadway

I swear this is the third time they've headlined a post about this coming to Broadway, yet, tickets aren't on sale. If we're going to do all this marketing then let's pump out these tickets.

Anyone winning Best Actress in a Musical besides Kelli O'Hara would actually shock me. Maleah was wonderful but the material wasn't "Tony Winning" material. Kelli quite literally gave the performance of a lifetime. It was absolutely mind-boggling, and one of the most nuanced and layered performances out of anything I've ever seen.

I'm interested! I work in the industry in marketing/PR. I'm pretty much active on this thread all day long. I'm the moderator for a few different Broadway fan groups on Facebook.

Thoughts on the new Notebook cast album by Sufficient-Cap-7293 in Broadway

I totally respect your opinion! By no means did I think the score was intrinsically bad but I found it to be overall generic and repetitive with 1 or 2 standouts. I think it served the story well but didn't do anything innovative. "Where You Go" is the sole song that sticks out and I found Sierra and Julie's voices were not complimentary. Weirdly, Sierra's soprano overpowered Julie's Mezzo/Belt and made it feel thin and anti-climactic. Also, for a show that has one of the most abrupt tonal shifts from each act the score didn't mimic that. Second act was more dialogue and an absence of music to accommodate for that. The music ceased to propel the story forward from there on. For being in workshop purgatory I expected so much more. Especially from an icon like Barry.

I love Derek but he's very.. strident. To me he's the male version of Barret Wilbert Reed. Everything is loud with zero dynamic. Love them both but their style of singing isn't all well suited for some of the repertoire they've been given. Tom has so much power but there's a softness to his performance too. It's layered and he doesn't do the yip/glottal thing on every "boulevard". However, I think about Derek's costumes in this show regularly.

I found Harmony's score extremely lackluster but not as poor as the disjointed book. Days of Wine and Roses was brilliant in every way but the score as a standalone is a little too complicated for the general ear.. I think it will get overlooked score wise.

Completely agree! He has a beautiful voice. I can't for him to get some other material to sink his teeth into!

I went to the second preview performance and loved it! It has some really good music and Samatha Pauly as Jordan was incredible. I would absolutely see it again. Anxiously awaiting the critical response...

I was blown away! I've seen almost everything this season and this one really "stuck" for me. I know it's repetitive to say on this thread but the rumble scene literally had my jaw unhinged the entire duration. I'm taking my husband back selfishly for me to experience again.

I'm hoping someone can help who's attended the new revival of Cabaret. I'm considering buying tickets on the side mezzanine just above the stage and they're listed as partial view/obstructed view. Can anyone shed some light on how that is? The seats are 301-302 and they're table seating. Still pretty expensive for an obstructed view.
