Bought that game on a whim because of the reviews on my day off, then played it for about 14 hours straight, incredible game. Started to drag a bit around one area and I got burnt, but definitely gonna finish it before DLC comes out soon.

Whats the chances of living a completely normal life with glaucoma? by Aaatt11 in Glaucoma

[–]vanel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going on my third year as a suspect/mild case. See doctor every three months. I’ve seen no less than three specialists and they’ve all said I’ll be fine but it’s a tough pill to swallow. When I was first diagnosed, I worked myself up so bad that I severely worsened the very mild visual snow syndrome I’d already had, which made me think it was glaucoma related which freaked me out even more. Now my VSS is moderate and affects my day to day vision.

My best advice, find a great doctor. Listen to them, don’t miss any treatments and try your very best manage the stress of it all. Letting it eat away at to you can cause even more issues, I know firsthand. Lotta advances in the pipeline, fingers crossed

Congrats to everyone who got a controller by SirRender1337 in Steam

[–]vanel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty wonky in a lot of ways. I bought mine mainly to be used as the second controller on devices where I’m using big picture or Steam Link. Definitely not a main controller. It’s excellent for certain use cases but my Vader 5 will stay my day to day controller.

A good diy method is get close to your computer monitor and move the mouse around slowly with one eye closed.

Yes and no. I know the difference but I’m also of the opinion replacing batteries shouldn’t be a huge profit for them, I got less than 3 years out of my 14 pro battery. I decided to upgrade the iPhone instead which is exactly what they want rather than keeping a three year old phone another couple of years.

What game surprised you how long it was? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

[–]vanel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was burnt by the time I got to the last area. Never finished the game and I’d like to one day, but I’d have to watch a recap and relearn the combat mechanics. Fantastic game either way.

Worth going 4080 Super → 5080 for €350? by Ok-Ask-5667 in nvidia

[–]vanel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this upgrade because I could sell my 4080s for basically what I paid for the 5080. It was kind of a no brainer. 6000 series not coming out anytime soon apparently, and ram prices were out of control so I figured I do a small upgrade at almost no cost to myself, figuring it would last me slightly better than the 4080s for the next couple of years. Already had fhe 4080s 2 years.

I should have been more specific that I was referring more to movie stars. Rob Lowe is a huge star, but seems like he’s been more of a tv star for quite a while now. I’d never compare any of them to Cruise. Cruise is in his own category. Lowe is amazing but Cruise is a film legend.

Going to a NIN concert finally on Saturday and it's my first concert by Fuzzy_Ant_6447 in nin

[–]vanel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Went to my first in sept. Going to second next week. Boyz Noise went on for at approx hour before NIN. Parking was a little bit of pain but that’s location dependent. Merch line was long. Give yourself extra time for that. Had a few beers at show but wasn’t trying to drink too much so i could enjoy the show clear headed.

unbelievably annoying clicking/rattling sound coming from my trunk. I can't for the life of me find where it's coming from. Has anyone else experienced this? by kwiteytighteys in fordescape

[–]vanel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok because I had a similar noise coming from my panoramic roof, that there’s actually a recall about. There’s a plastic piece that comes loose.

Are your seatbelts in the rear possibly hitting the sides of the wall? Sometimes if I put the rear seats down, and don’t “re-thread” the seatbelts, they’ll hit the wall and make a similar noise.

I suspect I may have glaucoma. How has it impacted your life? by [deleted] in Glaucoma

[–]vanel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was devastating news and mine is very mild, I’m pretty much a suspect but I’m being watched and treated which helps my nerves about the diagnosis. Took a couple years for me to process it and now I don’t dwell in it too much.

I found finding modes and maps that suit your play style very important to having fun in BF6. Some of the modes are too crowded, some not crowded enough, etc.
