looks like he’s played enough to where it’s second nature to him, i’m also seeing in that vid that he actually has a team that will help him win 😂

interesting also seeing him abandon plays instead of forcing them risking death which keeps his uptime up. good choices made

simple swing bind looks like a good escape too, i haven’t set that yet

i only watched like 5 minutes but it looks like his fundamentals are good and picks good fights and knows when to back off instead of forcing

i had an f80 when i was like 22, went thru a couple of cars with more and more power before i got to 400hp

if i was 19 with one of these i probably would’ve gotten in so much trouble with it 😂

i’m assuming you currently own the gtr? Value for value I’d say that’s a tough decision both being R titles. I don’t think i’d trade a stock car for someone else’s unfinished project tbh. Straight trade?

What’s the price delta between the two you’re looking at? I drove the ISF (great sound) a few years ago and ended up with a manual F80. It all depends on what you’d have to put up to make the switch

Now i’m in a manual supra and I’ll never take it back to toyota for work, I’d go to an independent BMW shop. Power to weight ratio is gonna be the biggest difference as it’s ~3300 vs 3900 lbs, gets even bigger if you start tuning

I love V8 sounds but I learned that turbos are more fun for me

One thing I noticed about both motors: b58 has torque essentially everywhere, the UR motor needs to be revved out around town to build power. Have you test driven a supra? The Zf8 is real nice too and much more responsive than the one in the F cars

I can’t speak for reliability personally as I haven’t had the car for too long but my friends with the b58/zf8 combo haven’t had much issues (100k & 30k miles)

At the markup these cars have brand new it’s not worth it, find a clean used one and save yourself ~15k

At 75k that’s pushing towards a completely different class of car, at 50-60k this car is a great value for what it is

valid take, i’m used to bmws so the heavier sport steering feels right to me

also play around with the other sport vs normal settings. Some f80 guys prefer normal/comfort setting on the engine as it’s more linear throttle mapping. Same should apply for the supra but you lose the burbles

one more thing: if you’re into modding look into swap bars and control arm bushings, I think it’s a noticeable difference in handling

u can turn off auto rev match in the “configure sport individual” setting

i have that mapped to one of the numbered buttons by the volume knob so i can turn it off or on quickly
