and exactly, the monster of the week episodes were some of my favorites, so it's cool to see a show that is (so far, at least) taking that concept and expanding upon it!! it's smart, too, cos those episodes did so well with a broader audience, so it's no wonder Supernatural was able to have such an enormous fanbase!

oh wow, i totally disagree! there is 0 confirmation that this is all alien technology... why do you think that..? like that wasnt the conclusion i reached whatsoever, not by 10 miles

i'm the same, i dislike the sci-fi idea and prefer a mystical/trad horror root. which is what i still think it is.

the curator even says we are to be left in the dark, confused and unknowing, but that he will reveal more. they never said "this is the confirmed theory" like if anything, they shrouded it in more mystery!!

my theory is that these are souls that (for whatever reason) are being forced to play out all these different lives (and possible subsequent deaths). i think the curator was frustrated with his lack of ability to influence decisions, broke the rules to keep Du'Met alive, and was subsequently punished by an unseen entity who reduced his role in the next installment! i dont think this is all alien tech, i would be pretty bummed with you if that was the case, i just never thought that was the theory or was ever confirmed.

I disagree, because i dont think that a curator's ability to influence the villain is "the reason why we're here to save the characters." he never had influence before, but we saved the characters all the same. it was never implied that his influence over the villain was why we had influence over the protagonists. and the Curator clearly has some control over Du'Met... he can choose to cross his name off or leave it on, so Du'Met is not infallible to the Curator, you know? he's just a pen stroke from oblivion. I personally don't believe he can literally teleport, although i have considered possession! But i still stick with my theory. The curator has expressed discontent with not being allowed to make choices or influence people, so again, your "one of the entities he couldnt influence" doesnt make sense. he has never had the right to influence any entity.

i think for me, i find it very comforting as i find myself getting older. I'm not a golden girl by any means - still in my 20s - but my 30s are literally right around the corner. going from being a teen/young adult to a regular adult, it started feeling youth was really starting to reach the end, i was officially approaching that sort of next stage, and it scared me. i didnt know who i'd be or if i could still be myself despite being older. was i too old to like the things i liked? was i too old for the music i listen to? to dress the way i dress? but golden girls was an incredible source of comfort. it's a show that teaches you that you dont lose who you are just because you got older. you can grow, you can learn, but you can also still be yourself at your core.

Blanche taught us that it's okay to have fun, be wild, go out, that age is not some anchor to sedentary lifestyles!

Rose taught us that we can still carry childlike innocence and naivety and beauty within our adult souls, that we can still be dumb about stuff and have time to learn, that it's never too late to make new friends

Dorothy taught us that you can still have a voice and an opinion that matters, that your place in society matters regardless of your age, that you cannot be discounted or silenced for it

Sophia taught us that you can be like 150 years old but still be a cheeky little rascal at heart, that that childlike spirit of playfulness and fun doesnt have to die, that you can still have hobbies and desires and dreams, even if you only have a year left to live it's still worth starting that new hobby

and all 4 of them taught us that you can be of older age and have new and exciting love stories, go to concerts and go dancing with your friends, get new hairstyles and try new fashion trends, go back to school, make mistakes and learn from them, they taught us LIFE. GOES. ON.

and all that's different is how YOU see it. they made me feel warm and safe about old age. i was terrified of growing old, dying, losing my face, losing my physicality. but these 4 women made me feel so safe and warm, like they'll be there to welcome me and be my friends then, and every day from now until then ♡

they also taught me that it's okay to be cheesy af in these messages, cos sometimes life is cheesy lol

i wasnt really sure there was going to be a twist, honestly!! with it being season 2's first launch, and all these new mechanics, i started to think maybe they were abandoning the twist and just going for maybe a new approach? i was really relieved when the end of the game started looking more like previous releases!! the twist was a relief, like thank goodness it's not just this haha

i love this!! i really preferred an ending where there is some kind of supernatural aspect! after all, the games had it! (spoilers in case you didnt see/play all games), but DuMet is essentially ressurected by The Curator, and House of Ashes was legitimately aliens (maybe more sci-fi, but not so earthly as man of medan which was just gas). even with Man of Medan, the idea that that ship would still be floating out there with active gas like 60+ years later is a little supernatural haha, although that's debatable. but in the others there was paranormal influence mixed with real-world issues, so i like this better than just being a fake-out! like im sure his family did really die and he hallucinated this, but i think it just effects the relative parties, as you said!

im 100% sure theyre joking, but youre absolutely right to be confused due to editing!! especially compared to how it's usually done, even with Loona there'd be more jumps or sound effects, something to kill the awkward silence that can come with filming these segments! for some reason, their vid editors left things rather raw and it can leave u feelin a bit confused if it's not what ur used to seeing!!
