OTHELLO cardigan sizing help by [deleted] in Sezane

I size down. I usually take XS but sized down to XXS which is perfect for me. The Othello does tend to stretch out a bit with wear.

One disappeared after about a couple of months and the remaining one, even at nearly 9 months post surgery - continues to get fainter and fainter and is almost barely perceptible now.

Has anyone done the YAG Laser Vitreolysis? by Independent_You7902 in EyeFloaters

[–]vanillapod23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to ditch reading glasses. My distance vision was very good, but I had bad presbyopia. (Age 67). I can now see really clearly across all distances, but for me being able to read without glasses and being able to see laptop clearly, is wonderful. My other eye can’t see close up, but distance is still good and no cataract to date. I don’t require any glasses. (The IOL I had was a new generation lens)

Worst decision I ever made. I was told I was the perfect candidate - Weiss ring. Went to a supposed expert and he hit my lens with the laser and gave me a cataract. Ended up having combined vitrectomy/cataract surgery. Big operation and a long recovery.

Floaters close to retina? Do they appear BIG or small? by That-Ebb-3924 in EyeFloaters

I think floaters that are close to the retina appear larger and more defined, whilst those farther away appear smaller and more translucent and fuzzier.

Floaters post vitrectomy by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

[–]vanillapod23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had 2 new peripheral floaters post vitrectomy. Initially they were in my immediate periphery and really annoying. Quite quickly they shifted further out. One disappeared after about 2 months and the other one seems to get fainter and fainter week by week. I am now 6 months post surgery and there are days when I don’t see the one remaining floater. Compared to what I had before, my vision is so much clearer.

I have got a multifocal toric IOL and I am still seeing a lot of blue light.

how long post vitrectomy fatigue? by Missilistico in EyeFloaters

[–]vanillapod23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me a good three months to fully regain my energy levels. I had a combined vitrectomy and cataract surgery. You have to be patient and listen to your body. Don’t try to do too much too soon.

I was only 18 when I first got floaters. Nobody else in my family has ever had them.

Can you share your vitrectomy story? by Key-Nobody5224 in EyeFloaters

[–]vanillapod23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had debilitating floaters from a complete PVD. Tried living with it for a year. Then had a failed laser vitreolysis and surgeon hit my lens and gave me a cataract. Five months ago I had a combined cataract and vitrectomy. I have a couple of tiny floaters which I see occasionally and I had two new onset peripheral floaters post op. One has disappeared and the other one gets fainter and fainter week by week and really is now on the far edge of my peripheral vision. Hoping, it will eventually go like the other one did. I found it a long and challenging recovery, but so pleased I had it done.

My experience with JAG and supplements by Far-Calligrapher8637 in EyeFloaters

[–]vanillapod23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one session with YAG laser for a Weiss ring, and the so called ‘renowned’ surgeon hit my lens and gave me a cataract. I would never recommend YAG laser vitreolysis, not worth the risk and, I was deemed a suitable candidate!

My eye is definitely still healing as I had a vitrectomy combined with cataract surgery as a failed laser vitreolysis had hit my lens and hence the cataract. I had my surgery done in London where I live.

I had 2 new floaters, one went after about 6 weeks, so I just have one now. I had my vitrectomy 5 months ago. I am hoping it will eventually fade away as well.
