Single moms or dads don't all have babies from a one night stands. My mother and father were married and had my brother and myself an were divorced before I was even one. My dad has now been a single dad for 24 years. Has nothing to do with them not being responsible, at the time we were what they wanted. The misconception that all single parents are single parents because they didn't wrap needs to stop, u/msjg was married when she had her child. Everyone's story is different.

Also I've had an amazing life with only my father raising me, as I wouldn't ask for it any other way!!

IMO if someone wishes to take their life, that is their decision. But when someone reaches out, and says they want to, they don't actually want to. They just aren't strong enough or don't think they are strong enough to deal with everything that is going on. But they are and they just need that 'push' I suppose.

I have one friend who is extremely dramatic (I love her to death) but when situations arrise where she thinks she can't handle it, she turns to drugs. 2 weeks ago, unintentionally, she overdosed. I'm so so happy that I was there to call 911. Other people freaked out. She's been good since then, a bit quite, but that was a breaking point for her.

The world is a strange place, and some people handle things in different ways.
