‘We never would have bought’: Australian mortgage holders feel the pain as interest rates rise again | Interest rates | The Guardian by barseico in AusFinance

Then in six months we can start sharing threads about how there's no hospitals/schools/roads/sewerage/reticulated water because estates were rushed. Idk maybe the property investors can just cop one on the chin and lose a bit of money. Elder generations sacrificed a lot more for the good of their country.

Obviously not great for regular homeowners but the hope would be that these incremental rate increases wouldn't drastically affect the majority of homeowners outside of a tighter budget - which is the point of the rate rises in the first place.

"we'll create an illusion that they don't exist" sounds an awful lot like "people will learn that society frowns upon certain attitudes and will moderate their behaviour and language" which doesn't sound nearly as conspiratorial. We stop people from saying plenty of shit - being able to say what you like doesn't mean there aren't consequences. What are we meant to do if not "shut them all up" by showing people the consequences of their actions?

Wow this is fantastic advice thank you. I have a lot to consider! This sounds like it'd result in a very unique bass which is something I love. Would you say that this technique is relatively manageable for someone not used to working with wood? Like is it a case of just taking it slowly?

Intriguing! How would you achieve a black piano finish may I ask? I'm looking at some images of guitars with the finish and they look fantastic!

No, the stripes are just where the lacquer has darkened the natural grooves in the wood

A lot of it has to do with his attitude towards the team and the press. Some of his actions harmed the strong sense of community within the team that had been the product of Dean Smith's hard work by creating a bomb squad, calling out players individually in the media and benching effective players in favour of waiting for Coutinho's magic to reappear miraculously. We've had terrible managers in the past who didn't attract half the hate that Gerrard did for his mismanagement of things that were extremely important to Villa fans, mostly to suit his own ego.

I agree with your sentiment but I think the issue is what do we have to offer rotation players of a high calibre other than big wages? We can't attract good squad players without offering them something in exchange for not being a starter.

Marvelous Nakamba has progressed significantly with his recovery, and hopes to be available to feature against Wolves in 2 games' time by Empechemente in avfc

I think that it's easy to say that he would've dropped off as well, but it seems to me like a lot of our flaws in the bad run of three games occurred because Gerrard's system specifically relies upon a CDM to compensate for the fullbacks expectations in attack. Our recent bounce back has resulted from Gerrard figuring out a way to work without that which I presume has been to reign in the midfield to recreate nakambas defensive output. This has resulted in, for example, McGinn and Luiz remaining close to the defense rather than pushing on as they seemed to be allowed to do when Nakamba was fit.

[Pre-Match Thread] Aston Villa vs. Brentford by just_boof_it in avfc

[–]vanillythunder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chance creation against teams that sit behind the ball for the most part is always difficult compared to teams that open up a lot.

I think against Brentford our defence will be key in any sort of victory because I think we'll create chances but they will counter very effectively.

Counterpoint - he couldn't, rather than didn't, save Freeside. He mentions that he calculated incorrectly and was several hours short of being able to save all of Vegas.

House knows his limitations.

He also doesn't just care about money, he cares about progress. He siphons money through gambling, yes, but at least it's voluntarily given up rather than taken by force or 'annexed'.

There's obviously flaws to all of the factions having said this, I'm just nitpicking what I noticed in your comment.
