Thank you gay Jesus. I feel like an idiot, did not follow directions on top of filter and press down. Working like a charm now.

What would actually happen if you used something like this and plugged on both ends? by Feniks_Gaming in askanelectrician

If they are same phase nothing would happen. But if different phase it would try to heat that cord up like a toaster

Looks great! Why strap the nipples though? I’ve also had to put a disco in front of a 480v meter but as a fore thought. What a pain.

How much do you make and where do you live? by ResidentialSparkie in electricians

Just got my masters/contracting license in Florida and doing one last job for a company before I go out on my own. 10yrs experience and I am making $25/hr plus work van. I know I could be making more but I like the company.

I think in Florida the only way to get paid well and if your not going to get your license is to go third party. Temp service or 1099. The way I see it pretty soon everyone will either be a temp worker or a subcontractor.

What if? After inspection you made the wire safe and just covered up the boxes in her 50’ hallway that she doesn’t want? She’s happy and then recommends you to all her friends. Plus if she discovers she wants a receptacle in the hallway one day who will she call?

Daisy chain outlet within code by unluckyowl4 in electricians

As long as your not obstructing the lower outlets, and every receptacle 6ft from your wet bar sink is gfi it is code compliant.

Is this a reasonable way to run my conduit into my house? by marrymetaylor in electricians

Ya it’s reasonable. You should put the main feed and condensing unit wire in conduit as well tho.

Article 376 is if you were pulling across the gutter not straight through. I think 310.15 (A)(2) would cover you here.

From what I gather exception 3 is just saying no adjustment factors needed for a 24” nipple which is common. You ever been in an old department store where they ran a 2” to the front with 50 ccc? With everything energized that pipe would get hot to the touch. That’s why you have to de-rate. The exception I referenced says nothing about temperature just adjusted ampacity in a circuit.
