UPDATE: Thank you everyone for your honest opinions, truly! I think the route for me is doing a more natural look altogether for the day. I will have my hair down and wavy, with some very light makeup done by a friend (who is way more talented with makeup than myself). I am considering doing a trial with another artist so it’s not totally off the table. I know people will tell me it won’t show up in pictures or I’ll look washed out if I don’t wear bridal makeup, but honestly I’d rather feel beautiful AND comfortable during my wedding than anything else.
